Is the 200 CPU requirement remotely sensible?
Shield Upgrades doesn't reduce its CPU as far as I can tell.

IMHO shield upgrades should reduce CPU for shield boosters AND extenders, not powergrid for extendes, or what the heck it currently does

It would be nice if the shield upgrade skill reduced the CPU, yeah. I suggested that a long time ago.

I have a feeling that XL shield boosters are "intended" for titans or something. *shrug*

IMO, it's stupidity to fit a XL Booster to any bship except for the scorp. It has enough CPU for all it needs and it can be a good shield tank.
I use a Medium C5-L on my 'thron...

Med shield booster on a BS ....seriously dude what are fighting, npc's in a 0.2 ?
Anyone who has ever fought in a remotely large battle can tell ya that a med SB aint gonna do sh*t when someone names you as the target.

Yeah 200cpu sux...
I`m trying desperately to get a named XL from those conquistadors but they keep dropping siege launchers...
And to think that my ideal setup for npc hunting would need just 0,9 cpu more to fit an XLsb... it really ****es me off
Oh well by the time I get a named one I`d have trained weapon upgrades lvl5... it`s a good thing that skill now affects launchers and smartbombs.

An Xlarge shield booster wouldnt help either in that situation.
But yeah, medium shield boosters on a BS just doesnt work, try a Large C5. Theyre awesome, specially linked with a shield amp.

U can fit a xlarge shiled booster and 2 amps on a raven with 6 launchers ( 2 seige) and 2 1600s backed up with hardners.
Its a tuff set-up , u can tank 3 bss shooting at you on chaos. Make sure u use malkuth h50s as these have the least cpu req of the h50 series (which is kinda strange)
627 sheild every 5 secs is nice , event better with one of those pirate drop xlarges.....damn i wanted one for christmas, damn santa...

its pretty balanced as it is!! no need to lower the CPU on the XL Shield Booster. If u want to use it drop some of ur weapons or dmg mods couse u cant have the best of everything!!!!
