I'd love to know this.... i would guess at 50bill, what you think? I think for traders it would be nice to have these stats available on the map like ships destroyed. It probably wouldn't affect my trading much but all the same it would be interesting to find out....

So, some math... Let's say 400 of them do one deal every 10 minutes, and let's say every deal is worth about 20mil (and I personally think the average deal is worth a lot more).
That's 800 million every 10 minutes, which is 4.8bil every hour. That's about 110bil in one day (and no, I didn't count the 1 hour DT).
I think the actual turnover is much more, but then again CCP are the only ones sitting on the real numbers =D

In your EVE market browser, bring up the trade history table for every mineral and t2 component in the game.
Create a spreadsheet multiplying the volume sold with the average sale price. Add the products together.
The sum of those numbers will be a very close approximation of how much business is done in Jita daily.
Keep in mind that all those minerals are assembled into ships and modules and resold at a markup, with the profits reinvested the next day in minerals, BPOs, and infrastructure.

You're forgetting all the contracts--the majority of the game's faction/officer items are sold in Jita.

but by doing that you will neglect the item traders.
ad up all items in the jita market and you can see the cashflow

Faction gear is a drop in the bucket compared to manufactured product, excluding it from this thought exercise will not have any appreciable effect on the results.
In similar vein, items traders are dealing with items that have already been produced, and their contribution to the market is relatively neutral compared to the manufacture of new products. Everything they resell has been produced with minerals bought in Jita. All they do is increase the price.

Drop in a bucket, eh? ... Sure, when it comes to the amount sold... But not when it comes to the ISK turnover. There are MANY faction items that go off at hundreds of millions, and even some more then billions. So, all in all, they stand for a lot of the total turnover.

Having rethought my 50bill turnover, yeh i can see it must be a gross underestimate Must be talking 10 X that as the first post said! Dam thats a lot of isk!!! Can't imagine a response from anyone with the figures but i'd love to know for sure..
Do you gents think it would be a nice tool to have in the map browser? I reckon some people would benefit from it...... and others would look at as much as some look at 'number of ships killed in last hour'

I have discussed this with people in-game, who wondered similar things.
In the first MMO I played, Motor City Online, on the startup page for your server (there were multiple servers, like most other mmo's) it showed how much had been spent today and to date on cars and parts and the server's GDP (or GNP, I dont remember). Might even have said how much money was in circulation. I think that would be a cool thing to add to EVE, in some form or fashion. Awesome, apparently something was wrong with my sig and now I have some green mod-jargon in its place.
