Edited by: Sunny Mooninite on 08/06/2007 17:57:29 Hello.
EDIT: Here is an NPR story about these evil evil people.
There is a certain type of "player" who doesn't live in Western Europe or North America, who sets up "businesses" where they play the game all day to make isk to sell so they can feed their families. These economically challenged scum are call "Isk Farmers", and we won't rest until they're eliminated completely.
Now, some of you may play as pirates, griefing all players, or play as scammers or corp thieves. But what you're doing isn't wrong, oh no. Because you're doing it for FUN.
Isk Farmers are TRULY evil, since they're not having fun, they're trying to pay the rent.
We are self-righteous, we hold the EULA to be the most sacred and HOLY of scripts, and we are NOT going to allow these stupid poor people to make their living off of OUR game. We believe that buying isk with Euros/Dollars allows players to CHEAT YOU, and we don't think that's fair. (Unless they are using the CCP approved mechanism of GTCs, which is of course just fine)
We believe that only the citizens of Iceland should reap any monetary rewards from Eve, and we will fight to protect the rights of CCP to be the only ones making (LOTS) of money.
If you are poor and living in a poor country where this is a viable alternative to not eating, know that your days are numbered, and we will stop you from not having fun while playing eve. WE WILL CRUSH YOU!
That is all. And by the way, some jerk rules you.

Anyway, the reason people hunt the farmers is not just because of xenophobia or racism (there are always exceptions though), but because they are mostly mining all the good ores or farming complexes and leave nothing for the casual players.
In 0.0 most people operate NBSI anyway or if they are NRDS they usually kill people who are in NPC corps too, so they die like everyone else.
Edit: Didn't the guy say most farmers were gamers earlier? They must have had some sort of income before becoming farmers I suppose?

Holy crap, sign me up! I have always wanted to be a petty authority figure with a tin badge.
And poor people, trying to live like we do... who the hell do they think they are? Oh, the humanity.
