Gehenna's Voice
Minmatar Children of Gehenna

[1]
A young woman sits in the corner of a nondescript room which could be in a station or planetside starport. She has no visible capsuleer implants. However, her identification codes list her as a registered capsule pilot. Her dark eyes flash, she nods briefly and begins to speak.
We are the Children of Gehenna. Our people were born under the Amarrian boot. Our lives have been defined by suffering and bondage. We have been forced into slavery, punished for being born Matari and ultimately, condemned to death by an insane monster. Only by the darkest of miracles did we survive while our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and children were destroyed by her mad designs.
But we have survived. We were given our freedom. We were given money, supplies, training and now we have come for the bloody revenge that is owed to us.
We are under no illusions. We know that there are not enough of us to bring down the rotten structure of slavery. But we will not be denied our revenge.
We are responsible for the recent attack on Scagga Laebetrovo and the rest of the slaver dogs who fly under the banner of Delictum 23216. While they managed to escape their fate on this occasion, it was only through the barest of margins. And while they deserve nothing less than death for their treason against their own race, the attack on them was only our first action. Every day that passes, we grow ever-more capable. Soon, we will begin again.
You, the capsuleers of Amarr. You dance between the stars doing the will of your bloody-handed god. You command immense wealth and prestige and bend them to your will. You destroy the lives of thousands; yet for you, death is only an inconvenience. You are immortal ... or so you believe.
But even you have your weaknesses. Even you are mortal. In your arrogance, you have forgotten this. We will reacquaint you with your own mortality. We may need to spend hundreds of lives for every one of yours that we snuff out, but we have hundreds, thousands of lives to spend. And more join us every day.
You will not believe us capable of bringing you down. Such is your arrogance that we can tell you that we come for your blood, and yet you will behave as if we are as nothing before you. Soon, you will know better.
You may have questions, but no answers will be forthcoming. Now, we act. We will be avenged.

If there were any clearer indication of the Matari need for Amarrian guidance...
I could take this opportunity to promise you a swift death, or declare that you will be brought to justice for your crimes.
However, I am merciful. I extend my hand to your organization as a father would to a wayward child. Should you take it, I can promise that you will be well cared for as slaves of House Abai. I will feed and clothe you, tutor you in the righteous ways of our people, and provide you an opportunity to work in the service of our Holy Empire. I urge you to take my hand and be redeemed in the eyes of God.
There are many others who might not be so forgiving.

Seems like they've already had a taste of Amarrian "Guidence" and look what it created.
Simple Cause and Effect.
Enslave someone and sooner or later someone else is going to rise up and fight back

We are not traitors. We want only the best for our people. You talk of revenge - is that your only goal ? You can't live for revenge. That isn't living, that's inflicting more death on people. You have to start living again.
We know how mortal and how weak we are. Lord Scagga is as human as you or I. Lord Abai is showing you mercy. Are you going to continue to live in the shadow of the monster that condemned you to death or are you going to step away from that ? |

ItÆs a lie. ItÆs always lies. How many times have we heard some Matari claiming to be a liberated slave? Too many.
The Republic is in serious financial trouble. ItÆs better now than it used to be but there are still massive shortages of food, medicine and basic infrastructure on all republic planets and stations. And the expense of training a pod pilot is immense. Those that go through the long intense training at Republic schools are almost without exception the wealthy elite of the Republic. ItÆs the same in all the Empires.
Are we to believe that the Freedom Fighters are going around rescuing slaves and saying ôWow! You are clearly more skilled and special than any of us! So rather than spend OUR money on food and medicine hereÆs several million isk for you to go to school! DonÆt worry about little Timmy heÆll die of Vitoc withdrawal but itÆs worth it to give such an obvious talent a pod license.ö
What really happens to these freed slaves? Most end up dead. Roughly half will be killed in the initial attack. The rest will be taken to a Matari controlled station. Most will be dropped off and forgotten. With nothing but the rags on their backs they will be set ôfreeö in some random station. Others will be forced to work for the Freedom Fighters, free yet enslaved. ôWe saved you now get to work! The fedo died and you need to get cleaning!ö Some are murdered outright. In many cases a slave who wants to return to their master will be killed as a traitor. And if the slave is of Amarrian blood he may be beaten to death for sport. And some freed slaves will attack their liberators. Remember that first half that gets killed? Well sometimes when a man or woman loses their entire family to the Freedom Fighters they get a bit more than upset.
I recognize that some organizations do care about human life. EM seems to try to give its freed slaves a decent start to their new lives and I applaud them in their efforts though I remind them they werenÆt hungry until you freed them.
These Matari pilots who claim to be freed slaves are just looking for street cred. Being a rich kid isnÆt exactly cool in the Republic. So they concoct these laughable stories to look hip. ItÆs like those Gallente kids who walk around in torn clothes and bare feet then buy a night at the pleasure hub with a platinum isk card. But the Matari posers are so much worse. They tell stories about cruelties that never happened. They fan the flames of hatred and get their brothers and sisters killed in pointless battles over empty space. But what do these spoiled liars care? They just wake up in a new clone feeling refreshed and self-righteous.

Whilst I do not condone, or seek to glorify the actions the Voices of Ghenna have taken against the Offices of Delictum 23216 it remains important to understand that the enviroment created by the oppressive rule of Slavery is directly responsible in creating a historical inevitability of revolt.
When a man, or woman, can no longer choose their own destiny and those that would choose to live another life are systematically targeted, drugged, tortured and killed then what choice remains but to strike back.
The Ammarian and Ammar regimes rhetoric of Religeous Order hides a more sinister disregard for human dignity to procure an ecconomic survival.
If however the Amarrain and Ammar regimes were to allow the right of free travel to all members of its society, along with allowing the populace to make decisions about their own future, rights and beliefs, rather than enshrining an enforced subjective view of the universe onto others, then these regretable incidents would not occur.
The Ammarian and Amarr sound like the abusive father, who complains of injustice and wickedness when the son strikes back.
These actions are of your own making, a historical inevitablitly of the culture of oppression and slavery, that has breed a cycle of abuse, from generation to generation, resulting in harsh oppression and brutal violence on all sides.
You cannot change what was done in the past, but you can reform for the future, or you must learn to live with the horrors you have created. |

You are failing to take into account the fact that a pod pilot has to be genetically compatible with pod technology. Given that such people are not commonplace the financial status of a pilot candidate's family is largely irrelevant.
Of course that's the way we do things in the Republic. Perhaps the Empire is more wasteful? It certainly seems odd that they don't offer pod training to loyal servants such as the Nefantar, thus forcing them to lie their way into Republic schools should they want to follow such a career.

In the interests of diplomacy, I condemn these Children of Gehenna. If you excuse us, we're trying to end a stalemated war here?
Oh, and if your attacks result in the deaths of Shern, or any other slaves, I will hunt you down and kill you myself. ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

*The handsome Gallentean kneels before Revan, tall, back arching slightly, his fragance was well choosen for his pleasure and to encourage her gaze upon him. He lifts his chin proudly, displaying his collar, keeping his emerald eyes lowered. He fills the crystal flute with the balsamic wine then lifts the glass to his red lips, kisses polishing the rim as he takes a tiny sip to ensure his Mistres's safety.*
"Children of Gehenna" Revan whispers to herself as the IGS comms displays the current news.
* The slave approaches, then bows his head, offering the flute*
"Is this name familiar to you?"
* The slave holds the flute still waiting for Revan's attention and shakes his head, in silent respect*
" hummmm, somehow I had the impression I've heard this "name" before." Revan takes the flute and changes the news. The name still resonates in her mind.
"One must still have chaos in oneself to give birth to a dancing Star"
