the msn chatlogs have been deleted.
several of Bob's leadership have clearly stated that they are in near constant communication with developers via MSN chat.
If its not free t2 bpos, then its free inside information. I really don't see orange species sitting around analyzing market data from multiple regions in order to find his 2.2b/day cash cow. more likely it was a Dev that programmed or helped design the borked npc market system that knew about it and sent it on to his MSN chat buddies.
so, the inspection team is just a platitude to keep only the dumbest of the dumb or people who are entirely apathetic paying their subs. Its like the UN nuclear inspection team, you know they are coming, and have interns scrubbing your building clean for their arrival, furiously jamming documents into the shredder, and formating hard drives as fast as possible.

Then again, i could always "say" that i'm living with Eris and she gives me nice stuff ingame all the time. Doesn't make it true though.
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

I think its success or failure depends on what sort of access CCP gives them, and who makes up the council.
In order to avoid any accusations, it is probably best that no current or past member of any of the top ten alliances, or their alts be part of the council. (Some might ask, well how would anyone know its an alt...well there are those outside of EVE who have proven themselves adept at finding out who the devs are, make no mistake they'll probably hunt to find out who the oversight folks are too in hopes of proving they are devs)

CCP are doing what they can to restore faith. You have a better idea of how to do it?
I dont think its even possible. The people who dont believe them now have made up their mind and will continue to troll for a long time.

Time machine. Really, once a company messes up big time, there is no way for them to restore their reputation. No matter how hard they try, no matter now innocent they are. There will continue to be those who would play regardless, or cover their eyes (lalalala?) even if every GM and Dev visually spawned thousands of items right infront of them, and then proceeded to kill them with said items. There are those who, no matter what CCP does, will never, ever, trust them - CCP could set up cams, give DB and remote access to these people, and they still wouldn't believe them. Then there are those in the middle, who recognize they screwed up and will continue to do so, but see that they are willing to prove they are improving.
Unfortunately, more people fall within the two extremes than the middle. It seems like it'll be a waste of their money, but it did gain them press coverage which is always good.
