Ok ... other than lots of materials, what skills, items, outposts, BPC's etc do you need to build a titan?
From a starting character, what would be the quickest skill path to get one to the point they could be a titan builder?
Thinking I might want to start a second account ... and do nothing with it but achieve this goal :)

Ok, so that gets me the skills part of it ... the real part of my question though is about the "non-materials" part of the build?
Specific questions (to start at least):
#1) Is this documented somewhere else where I could just go read it? ;-)
#2) What is the max security rating of a system where you can build a titan?
#3) Do you need specific outpost/POS modules to build the titan (or components for a titan)? Or could you do it at an NPC station?
#4) Any other skills, items needed to build the modules that make up a titan?
Thanks in advance for the help ... this is almost starting to sound like something to start a "hauler" account for ... have them train for this while just acting as a hauler for my primary account (ME!) :)

Edited by: Vladimir Tinakin on 11/06/2007 18:55:27 Edited by: Vladimir Tinakin on 11/06/2007 18:55:09 You need an alliance. 1M+1B if you make your own corp and alliance. - Empire Control V is the skill you need to make your own alliance, btw.
You need to hold sovereignty of the system. This can only be done in 0.0 space. So you'll need at least 1 large POS.
You need to anchor and online a Capital Ship Assembly Array and a Capital Ship Maintenance Array. These can be bought from NPC stations and will run about 3B total for both.
You need the BPC/BPO for the Titan. 10-60B isk for those.
Then you need the components, or minerals and BPO/Cs for them. This will run you a good 40-75B isk.
Then you can either stick the BPO/C in the assembly array (dumb) along with the components and start the job, or set up an outpost (30B) to house the BPO/C and start the job remotely from there. (components still need to be in the array)
Then you wait. For months. While keeping the POS fueled, and hoping no one swings by with a few dreads to pop it.
If all goes well, your titan will pop out and you can fit the officer modules you've bought for it (15-30B isk).
Titans are only built by large alliances for a reason: its freakin expensive and very very difficult to do without dozens or hundreds of people all chipping in and helping. ----------------------------------------------- Adm Vladimir Tinakin CFO Hadean Drive Yards |

The important part is to stay under the radar if you are going it alone. I'd guess most major alliances, especially those with built/under construction titans want to limit the number in game, so I would not be suprised it they brought 10-100 dreads down on your POS network. I wonder what's going to happen in cap systems where motherships/titans are already under production when the Sov changes roll over. Will production in the CSAAs be halted until the Sov level reaches the appropriate amount for the module?

Usually any limitation regarding setting up stuff or starting stuff is only considered at the start point in EvE.
Examples: - Setting up an empire pos requires standing when doing it. Afterthat your standing can drop below requirements with no effect. - You need to stop training before adding implants, becourse eve needs the skill to be startet again to be able to recalculate end time with the new bonus. - etc
So most likely nothing will happen. This is pure win for people who allrady have thier Capital yards anchored before the patch.
