Edited by: Bruno Bonner on 13/06/2007 15:10:51 Ladies and Gentlemen on this Saturday we will conmemorate another year since the foundation of the Federation, another year since democracy was taken to the stars, another year of freedom and liberty for its citizens.
228 years ago on June 16th, we started something, today we stand proud of it.
The parade will start at 18:00 hours eve time in Aunia - Sinq Laison, with a spectacular display of fireworks and fleet formation.
Scheduled events are:
19:00 Interceptor Sprint Race - A 400km race between two beacons (anchored cans) around planet IV. Any interceptor model and equipment module is allowed. Coordinator: Bruno Bonner
20:00 Fleet flight and Acrobactics by the Red squadron and Emerald Squadron. Coordinator: Yarod Cool
21:00 Frigate 1vs1 pvp tournament (further details will be posted). Coordinator: Dejhon Vanxler
Our Sponsors in quafe will be be giving away free quafe at the station, and there will be a special room with an assorted menu and exotic dancer show.
Rumour is that a Beauty Contest will take place during the day to select the most beatiful attendee and nominate her a "Miss Federation".
Also we will have our Federation team crashing in all bars, pubs, restaurant and enterntainment places around the regions to enjoy a few beers, spread the federation spirit and have a good time.
Lutin Group wishes all to have the best time in the upcoming Federation Day.
Regards Bruno CEO Lutin Group

I will let Dante's Productions know of this. A good recruitment ground it might be. Also if DP scout shows up I am sure people can enjoy fine holofilms as well.

"Sir?"
"Yeah Aura?"
"Something here you might want to take a look at."
"Bring it up."
Kuseka reads the transmission. "Well it took its sweet time to get here. I dont know if i can get back in time."
"Might i suggest a clone jump sir?"
"Possible i may need to bring that ship down if i cant find a survey report on the belts around here."
"Understood. What should i tell the agents."
"Let them know i am there on personal matters thats assuming i make this trip. And compose the following message while you are at it."
Fellow citizens of the Federation. It is with great pride i look upon this transmission. We are free. A freedom that no one else has. One that must be celebrated one that must be appreciated one that will be this day. As one of the pilots daring enough to enter the wild lands of space i hope anyone who can make the trip be able to do so this day. May we continue to stand proud of our achievements.
Save a round or two for me if ya can. I am going to try to be there.

You do realise that the gallente federation was the greedy oppressive empire that we fought a war of independence with not so long ago? How can you grovel and humiliate yourself this way? Disgraceful behaviour for a Caldari national.
Originally by: Boma Airaken Gallente national pride needs it.
gallente pride has resulted in the deaths of millions of brave Caldari over the decades, why a Caldari corporate pilot would wish their pride to grow is beyond outrageous. Where is your loyalty and your respect to the honoured Caldari dead?
The only thing the gallente federation needs to do is recognise the Caldari military and economic superiority and hand back what is ours.

Mr Strikeclone
I would like to say that Boma Airaken is an example of a rare kind of loyal citizen. He is a supporter of the state and it's goverment but also a firm believer that the State should co-exist and profit from it's neighbors rather than hate them.
He was the coordinator of the Iyen-Oursta meetings some time ago, and representative of the interests of his nation, but also a idealist that the Federation can be seen as a partner in business more than the source of all evils in caldari society.
The caldari state and their proud people were once members of the Federation, not only our greed but yours brought us to a terrible seccesion war.
However, during the time we shared together i'm sure both sides celebrated what was considered at the time a mutually benefitial arrangement and also a testament of what could people achieve when banding together.
Federation Day is a celebration of the original idea and its spirit.
Intaki, Jin-Mei, Mannars, Gallente and billion of inmigrants from the corners of the cluster today share a home in the Federation, and we plan to enjoy it to the best of our abilities this Saturday.
You are invited of Course Mr Strikeclone.

Please don't miss-read I don't "hate" the gallente people, but I do reserve a deep resentment for the federation and its past and present actions. I quoted and replied to my Apex Conglomerate colleague to draw attention to his grovelling ways. It is his conduct, not your celebration I called into question.
I would be happy to attend if I am free. If not I wish you all the best with your event, the better relations we can foster the easier will be the negotiation for return of our home world. At the moment another devastating war will benefit neither side, but future conflict can not be ruled out if wiser and cooler heads fail to reach an agreement.

I think everyone is agreed that the celebrations yesterday were a great success! I know I had a great time, despite my interface locking up on me and preventing me from entering the "Miss Federation" beauty contest. Grrr! Heh... oh well, I'll just have to wait and try again for next year's contest. My sincere congratulations to Uni Zueto who was crowned Miss Federation last night.
I'd like to thank Bruno Bonner and the Lutin Group, and everyone else who contributed, for all the work they put into making yesterday such a success. It was the best Federation Day I've ever had.

I am very pleased that you all had a good time and that the celebrations occured without any problems.
However.
Strikeclone, I will not be insulted and accused of "grovel" by a patriot scab.
The Federation is a great nation, like the State. And I support it in the interest of trade and relations.
If you want to talk about dissent and the State, let's talk about the "homeworld". The dead old rock nobody has cared about since Jita, with the exception of the patriot old guard, who seem more interested in hindering the State than making it great.
If you want to play Amarr that is fine, just leave me out of it.
I am sorry this warmongering patriot who's cause is old and dead spoke in this FTL thread, my Gallentean friends. I hope it hasn't put a damper on what I am sure was a grand celebration of the great Federation.

A Caldari calls the gallente a great empire.....with such words are the Patriot cause justified, far from "warmongering" the majority of the Patriot faction that is neither old nor dead is not advocating war. It advocates promoting the Caldari culture and strength. Clearly you need to learn alot more about the politics at work within the State, not to mention the culture and customs of same.
I would love to see the reaction you would get in the streets if you was to cry out that the homeworld is a dead old rock that nobody cares about. It is a war memorial, a shrine to the honoured dead, the birth place of our people that many thousands died to protect.
I think you are in the wrong alliance "friend" the conglomerate may or may not agree or follow with my faction or indeed any of the three factions. But I am damn sure they are loyal Caldari, and seeing this is a concept you can't seem to grasp prehaps you should leave the State for your beloved federation. Exile is the least punishment a non-conformist and dishonourable citizen can expect.

Apparently, Mr. Strikeclone, something that you fail to understand is that a powerful entity, without a powerful enemy, is nothing and will fall to ruin.

Apparently, Ms. Blackheart you have completely missed my point. I am angry not at any celebration of the feds for their dear and fluffy empire. Its directed at my fellow Caldari for his complete lack of Caldariness.
That is all.

I understand that, Mr. Strikeclone, what I mean to say is that it is not "less Caldari" of him to acknowledge that the Federation does do things right on occasion and that they have achieved strength and greatness. All it makes him is able to acknowledge that, as I said before, a powerful entity needs a powerful enemy.
If you fail to see the strength and greatness of the Federation, then you will be in for a rude awakening if war truly does break out, do you not agree? It requires not underestimating your enemy.
Do you not agree?
Perhaps I was not clear the first time.

I disagree, it is very un-Caldari like to act as he did and to claim the homeworld is a dead rock......hardly loyal and patriotic. Many hardliners would demand the drinking of poisoned tea for such an insult from a Caldari. It is sad that the advent of pod technology to the masses has heralded the decline of our culture as we are no longer called to account by society for our actions and words.
Those pilots who live within the State would do well to remember their heritage and their culture. Otherwise they may as well leave for the fringes of space and spend the rest of their clone life as petty criminals.
In any case I think this thread has serve its purpose and the celebration is done with, so I will say no more here.
