I am trying to figure out a good sniping setup for my Apoc
Here is what i came up with...
Apocalypse

Have a range of 115km.
Not greate damage tho...
My thought is to warp in at range, allign back, target, shoot, warp out.
Would be glad with some tips on setup and way of thinking when using sniper ship.

1. Sell/Refine Apoc. Its a useless ship for what your doing. If your using it to NPC, fit it with an armor tank and some cap rechargers instead.
2. Build/Buy 2 Geddons.
Then try:-
7 Tachyons
2 Sensor Booster
1 Tracking Comp
3 Heat Sink II
Enough gridmods to fit the above. 1 RCU + 1 PDU should be enough if you have adequate skills.
Tracking comps.
What are you trying to do with your sniper exactly?

basicly i am trying to find a sniper ship to use in gangs (small 3-5 pilots).

oh dear...
Apoc is actually good ship for sniping. Some would say better than Geddon because of Alpha strike.
But my tip to you dear sir is: Train for T2 Tahions.
No T2 guns - no sniping its simple as that.
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes and Mary Jane

may i suggest an abaddon in addition to t2 tachs?
if t2 tachs are good for sniping (i wouldnt know cause i'm using t1 modulated tachs myself)..then the extra dmg and resistance bonus of the abaddon would be an extra bonus...since you'll be warping in...align...shoot...then warp out...
besides, the abaddon will hav the cpu and grid to fit a full tach rack...freeing up lows for more dmg mods, tracking mods or tanking mods...

159km Optimal with Aurora and does roughly 8-9k raw alpha with Gleam.

Call me afraid of Amarr Cap usage, but how long can you ststain that fire for? The lack of Cap usage bonus drives me insane

Roughly 5 minutes, but that is with maxed cap skills (Energy Sys Op 5, Management 5 and Controlled Bursts 5)
