Good day.
Just a quick question which I have been unable to find in the great search feature.
My main's standing to the corp True power is currently at -8 (-4 with social skills) which means i cant run any whatsoever missions for them. Now recently I relocated to a station with a true power agent in it and I would like to start doing missions for that corp/faction. At the moment this alt's standings to sansha/truepower enables her to start doing the lvl1 missions.
The question though is how would I go about getting my main characters standing closer to a positive standing with the faction? If my main tags along on the missions and kills most of the npcs in the missions, would his standings improve? What options do I have to improve his standings to such a level as to get him to be able to use the lower lvl1 agent?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I should have made it a bit clearer. The character I want to run the missions with (the character with a -7 standing to the faction) already has most of the social skills maxed.
What I am looking for is a non skill way to get his faction standing down to a level so that he can at least run the lvl1 missions.
Would him helping me kill the npc's on the missions if i run them enable him to get better standing? Is there perhaps a different way to get his standings higher with the relevant faction?

You can also raise your standings failing missions for the opposite faction. That will get you a positive derived modification for the faction you want to raise. In this case, True Power corp belongs to Sanshas, that means you can raise your standings failing missions for Caldari State and Amarr Empire.
Gl on that.

Hmm since that character has about 9.8 standing to both caldari and amarr it would make sense that true power hates him(also he's been ratting in stain for quite a while killing the evil sansha).
Would it just be as easy as failing missions the whole time and reducing his standings with amarr/cal so that he has a lower amarr/cal standing. Would the standing lowering up his other standing?

If you are unsure about failing missions will work, you can try failing aheap of mishes on the test server. That way youdont have to fear losing your standing if it shouldnt work afterall.

And yeah, when you done checking the test server - can you please post back here and tell us if it worked? Not sure if I myself can find enough time to dig the test server in the nearest future, but I'm really curious the thread's subject.

Rather than fail missions for an opposing faction, you can also run missions for an allied faction to get gain. If you can still run missions for the Guristas, Blood Raiders, etc, then those will boost your standing with True Power.

Originally by: Akita T Enabling missions for a corp in a FACTION you have low standings for is easy, and I won't go there.
Enabling missions for a CORP you have low standings for, your only chance is the social skills (Diplomacy), if you didn't go below -5
Enabling missions for a CORP (or agent) you have -5.01 standings with... IS IMPOSSIBLE. Yes, you read right, impossible. As in "never going to happend on that char, ever again".
From the thread here.

Edited by: Lumelame on 16/06/2007 12:50:06 Wait for Revelation 2. Create a gang with at least one player with good standing to start the mission and share the standing reward.
See patch note:
Quote: Agent Mission Improvements Missions now have basic gang support. Choosing the ôMe and my gang have completed the missionö option at the end of a mission will cause LP, ISK and Standing rewards to be split equally between up to five people in a gang.

You can make standing needed (it's -2.0 effective) in one day easily. Go to the empire, and start visiting all the stations for Caldari and Ammar agents. Use all agents in the way: Agent1 for Corp1 - take mission, fail it, take another one - fail it....after your standing to him fells to below -2, he stops talking.. Agent2 for Corp1 - repeat steps above... When your standing yo Corp1 drops below -2 - use another corp. Sure all those steps do not have to be done in that order - just fly through stations and fail all the agents. It is one day work (tested in practice). You'll still have the positive Amarr/Caldari faction standing left, approx. over 2, if failing one faction agents only. -------------------------------------------- Just flying to the nearest mall -------------------------------------------- |

From patchnotes, under "exploit fixes":
Declining multiple missions in a row will no longer boost your standing with opposed factions.

You (them) mean the only way to fight a bug was called an exploit and fixed? By that I mean Crim.Con/Diplomacy skills bug, which allows only one skill to work (which was installed first). -------------------------------------------- Just flying to the nearest mall -------------------------------------------- |
