To the experienced pilgrim pilots out there: How important is having a MWD on the Pilgrim?
I'm torn between using the MWD or using an AB and having a better tank.
This is for 0.0 PVP btw, so one of my concerns with the AB set-up is landing in a bubble... |

Use an AB. If you need to MWD away from something, you did something wrong. Pick your fights.

mwd offcourse! u can awoyd gatecamps better, u can reach nosrange better if u need to agro at 20 or so , u can escape quicker if needed. =)
best setup if recon 5 :
3x dimi nos 1x cloak
mwd, 24km point, 3x t2 damps or best named
med rep t2 , 2x eanm t2 , dmg control , 800mm RT plate
2x damp rigs ...
7x Med Drones ...
damp ur opponent and just kill it slowly ... :) u can stay in nos range if u have to support skill about 3-4 then its easy killing ... damps a BS to about 5000m or so ...

ABs are for NPCing, deadspace, and noobs.
You're gonna need that MWD when you jump into a sytem with a bubble. Double click in space, hit MWD, hit cloak, coast out... With an AB you will cloak and then be decloaked by their ceptors and die.

Replace AB with MWD, I have 0 need for a MWD in low-sec.
Its always good practice to get decent support skills for the Amarr Recons, both the pilgrim and more so the Curse MWD Speed tanking. Defiantly MWD for 0.0, be a fool not to have one.
As you stated MWD for 0.0, just giving an example where/when AB works. |

Afterburners give you such a little speed boost that it's not worth it. I'd say 99% of the times you should fit mwd on your pvp ships. if you don't fit a mwd, use the slot for something else, but ABs are only good for belt npcing and deadspace
