i was just wondering if there was a new expansion coming out plus, what is it going to be like? would we be able to go on plantes?

Revelations II is set to come out by the end of the month. Read up on the Dev blog "right below the forums link on the left side of screen", there's CRAPLOADS of information on it. Although mostly it's going to support Alliance, and large scale operations.

note to ALL new players.
This is GOING to be a laggy day. If you are availible to log on, I can suggest you one thing, and one thing only. Don't bother logging on. As soon as the server comes up, 15k people are going to attept to make a connection with the server, that is, if ccp is not going to reinstate a queue system.
In any event, i expect the patching proccess to be up about 2-6 hours AFTER they say it will. Give em a break, they work all day for us!
Set a skill that will easily last until 2-5 days after the patching is done. As it stands, we know NOTHING about how bad it will be after the patch - it is entirely possible that the server could go down for a day, possibly more.
On a final note, do NOT engage in ANY activity that might cause in the destruction of your ship. No pvp, pve, mining, (meh who cares).
Cliffnotes -
*Set a long skill
*Don't bother logging in that day
*The server WILL be up late
*CCP will not reimburse anything you lose because of lag on patchday.
