anyways. me and corpmate were discussing strongest subcapital tanks in game, and after a thorough debate on armor tanking, couldnt decide what was the best. yes shield tanks with faction mods>armor tanks, but this was more of a general question i had.
basically we settled on the strongest tanks being....the dominix, hyperion, and i said abaddon because i fly one and was indignant at not having an amarrian ship not be included in the list. however, im too intoxicated to do the numbers (i have delusions of eloquence in certain elevated states ofmind ), so if anyone knows the math or just thinks they know the right answer, add to the debate Meatwad FTW |

well there is no way in **** a domi can out tank a geddon abaddon or hyperion without using nos to substain . on pure tanking power id say hyperion hands down. followed closely by the abaddon. im not considering any faction ships since they are not standard

we were assuming using fitting to be able to sustain..aka rigs and 4x cap recharger II's on the domi to sustain 2 larII's and 5 hardeners.
basically the armor argument with hyperion vs abaddon came down to the bonus. me saying that in the event of cap out, or while boosters reloading, and higher resists to begin with abaddon wins, him saying repair bonus is more important (i negated this argumenet in my mind by saying that reducing incoming damage is more important than repping more given the slow cycle time of LARs, he said the abaddons resist bonus gimps using active hardeners.)
run-on sentence without paragraph breaks ftw. Meatwad FTW |
