I am a new player with a massive 1 week of experience. I absolutly love the game and TBH I DONT feel that the -ú10--ú15 a month bill to play is extortionate. However, If I can get to the point of not paying, that would be pretty darn good.
However, my life is busy enough as it is, so I dont think I will be playing more than 20-30 hours a month (which I have the distinct impression, is pretty low). Now as a noobie flying around in cruisers I can quite happily make 1 million ISK an hour mining, mission running and selling stuff I find (dont laugh....). I am looking to experiment with finding RADAR sites as I understand they can have a high payout?
So with PLEX costing around 300-475 million PLEX for 30 days, I would need to make around 20-25 million ISK per hour of playtime (including spending money)
So my question is this, as I still have very little idea of the scope in the game really. Is it in any way possible to earn 500 million ISK a month, playing only an hour or so a day? (I doubt it...... at least not for a long while?) If not, it aint the end of the world, still a good price for the game IMO......
But any nice noobie advice on making easy ISK would be greatly appreciated......
Thanks in advance!

Look into doing incursions. You probably won't be able to earn what you seek for a month or so, but fairly soon you should be able to make AROUND 100m/hr. Still should have time to plex your account and do some other stuffz. Also, remember the key win for you in this game, even with 20/30 hours a week, your still training your character 24/7
Other options: Faction warfare missions, scamming, 0.0 ratting, wormhole living (would have to find a corp).

Lots of stuff on this, i would recommend finding an incursion corp for more specfics and what you should train, but here are the basics |

Getting your passive income up might be for you, then.
Try PI, Datacore Farming and - probably best of all - trading. Unbanned since 2011.10.20. |

only trading is going to get him anywhere near his goal, and with no startup and no in-game knowledge that will be one hell of a challenge.

True, but this (and I might be wrong of course) probably goes for Incursions too... especially for a week old char.
Edit: I heard that salvaging other peoples L4 missions - whether they agree to it or not - pays quite well..... Unbanned since 2011.10.20. |

L4 missions 50-70mil /h, faction warfare missions 80mil /h and incursions 60-100m /h. For less grinding trading updating once a day mixed with pi updating once a day. To begin do L3 in a battlecruiser 20-30 mil /h and try paying every other month then u only need 225mil a month. |

It's easy to make 500m a month from PI in nullsec. I net about 3m per planet per day, but have to deal wtih logistics too hisec. In hisec, I would think you could easily make 1m per planet per day. You would need to pick the stuff up once a week, and renew your extractors once a day. It takes 8-11 days to train an alt into PI too.
Datacore mining is very passive, and can earn you another 3-500k per day per agent. Pick it up whenever you feel like it... I usually do this once every 3-6 months. It takes some time to get the standings up for this though.
Incursions are extremely profitable (60-120m isk/hr), but you usually need to fly a legion, zealot, or guardian to make that much isk. This income is not an endless faucet however: incursions spawn, they get beat after a few hours, and then you have to wait up to a day for them to respawn.
Join a WH corp. WH dwellers make 40-100m isk/hr, but again this is usually in spurts, rather than a steady stream of income. |

You can never play for free. Either you pay $15, or you pay 450M ISK. It's up to you which one you think is easier to get.
Don't turn this game into a second job by forcing yourself to make 450M every month, leaving you with no time to actually play and enjoy it, only to save yourself $15. |

All of these are good ideas, but if you want to do something more unconventional and have a great idea, start an Eve business venture. Hauling , merc work, writing, or something even crazier, like a lottery.
Why pry ISK from the cold, dead hands of NPCs when players will give it to you willingly? |

It's really, really easy to do this.
Train for 5 planets of PI on each of your 3 available character slots. Then just run extraction to P2 on each planet. You'll only need to extract 6,000 units per hour of each of the two P0s which is easy to do even on 3 day cycles in high sec.
Each of the two extractors sends its stuff to a launchpad. From there you have 2 Basic Industry Facilities, 1 running each type of P0->P1 and send their stuff back to the launchpad. These are then forwarded to a single Advanced Industry Facility which turns the P1 into P2.
Sure, it only produces 5 of the P2 per hour per planet but that is enough. Number time!
Let's assume that each P2 sells for 10k isk. The export tax is 900 isk per unit. Each planet produces 5x P2 per hour.
P2 produced per day = 120 P2 value per day = 1.2M isk P2 export tax per day = 108k isk P2 profit per day (pre tax) = 1.092M Sales tax = 1% P2 profit per day = 1.081M
5 Planets profit per day = 5.405M 15 Planets profit per day = 16.216M
30 days in a PLEX.
30 days of 15 planets = 486.486M
Current cost of PLEX = 460M
Sorted.
For this you will need to log in 3 characters twice a week to reset the extractors. The Launchpad has enough space that you will only need to export once per 30 days anyway. You can also do this all in one system and since you can play with your planets from anywhere (only need to be in system to export) it doesn't even tie you down. Can I be the one pointing out the obvious?
You CAN labour hard for hours and hours on end to make enough isk to buy a Plex, but that effectively turns the game into a job rather than a fun pass time (and subsequently will probably make you lose interest because of it) OR you can choose to any RL part time job for 1-3 hours and pay with RL cash. Ofcourse, if you're not in a situation to get some RL cash then sure but wasting 20-30 hours a month slaving away in a game which could be done in a few hours tops seems like the wrong way to do it imo. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. |
