Any pdf's out there that can be used to help compare item stats etc.?

I don't really know any "compare" pdf.
What I do most of the time to compare is using the item database on the eve-o site.
The problem is that there are too many varriable to compare.
It's not just the item, it's the ship, the skill, the implants, the drugs the...
Best tool for compairing is still QuickFit

I respectfully disagree. I always find EVEMon faster and more responsive - and there is an actual compare function to allow you to line up ships and modules side-by-side; it'll even highlight which attributes are different between them. It's really useful for comparisons, whereas I haven't found an equivalent feature in QuickFit.
Two things, though:- Both of these applications are so useful for their primary goals (seeing what will fit in a ship with your skills, how much resistance/DPS your setup will have, capacitor simulator - and skill planning, learning skill suggestions, 'What does this skill enable') that I highly recommend you have both installed anyway. You can play around with them and see which one you like for comparisons
- This may be a moot point anyway, as I believe Revelations II will allow you to compare an item against its variations. That is, when you go to the 'variations' tab of show info there's a "Compare" button at the bottom. I haven't used it myself so I don't know how (well) it works.
It sounds like the second one won't let you compare between different types of item. Usually you would be comparing the same type, but occasionally you may be e.g. comparing active vs passive hardeners to see if the extra resistance is worth the cap cost.
Anyway, get both applications, play with them and the new compare feature in EVE itself, and I'm sure you'll find something that is suitable for your needs!

It was actually added with Revelations I back in december
