I was happily going about my business by picking up unwanted containers to help reduce the overall lag on EVE in a 0.8 system when a guy that was mining nearby opened fire on me. Concord warped into the belt rapido, but just sat their & took no action?
I though Concord was there to protect helpless people like myself?

Unfortunatly not, I was in a badger  & Concord came into the belt almost immidiatly, but just sat there & did nothing

Why do u feel the need to rationalize petty thieving and trying to make it sound like u was rescuing containers ? That¦s all to common for regular thieves.
U know perfectly well what u did and why u got shot at. Yes ur rite, ur an Ahole.

This thread is not nonsence, no matter what my chosen profession is I am still entitled to the protection from Concord in Empire space

Your a funny guy. Everyone knows what happens if you are attacked in safe space. Now your just being evil trying to get pilots to shoot at you. So not only will you take their ore, but their equipment too. All I have to say if you are roaming where I am mining, consider yourself looking for your own cans....

simple cure for ore thieves .. ALT+Kestrel+Cruise whats a kes cost? 200k? pfft...easy write off when your dealing in ore worth mil+ .. log both characters in same belt for easy quick access

Well, whether it's a bug or not you are stealing and therefor commiting a crime. If you commit a crime you don't have the same rights as other law abiding citizens.

I thought they implemented the thing which allows aggression for raiding others' cans?
I know they talked about that. I mine in .4 so wouldn't know.

You can't raid each other's cans, they're locked and secure. OTOH, stuff thrown away is not owned, so can't be stolen. The fact that you intended to come back and pick it up again is completely irrelevant.

Lets forget about the can issue, that not the point here. Carebears will always think its wrong & everybody else thinks its right.
What I want to know as the thread originaly stated, is why after arriving in the belt, did Concord not stop me from being attacked in 0.8 space, seing as I have a neutral 0.0 security status
