Still with us? Thats a good sign! You won't be disappointed.
This is an excellent opportunity for both new and experienced pilots to join a group of friendly and knowledgeable people; to develop and further expand the White Star Consortium brand!
About Us: The White Star Consortium has been around for some time now roaming the galaxy from high sec to 0.0 space.
- We are 'currently' both an empire and low sec corp based in the Solitude region. We moved here from 0.0 space and will be moving back sometime in the near future; but not before we are ready. That is where you come in. We will always have operations spanning the entire spectrum of security levels. We want you to be where you best can reach your goals while helping us reach ours.
- We are a corporation that places importance on values and do not condone piracy or cheating of any kind. If you are deeply entrenched in either ore thieving, escrow scamming, gate ganking, logoffski or other forms of disreputable activities, look elsewhere.
- We are not shy of a good fight which we have proven time and again defending our space and our friends from aggressors. We have players with heavy combat experience willing to teach and share their knowledge with less experienced players.
- We have a very organized hierarchy that covers the many facets of a successful and self-sufficient corporation. We have roles for those pilots interested in production (mining -> manufacturing), science, resource management, marketing, human resources, information gathering and combat pilots. If you have a skill to contribute we can use you.
There are many opportunities to grow in this corporation. Pilots that enjoy responsibility and want to further the corporations goals will find what you are looking for in The White Star Consortium.
If you are interested in joining our team please keep reading! I will outline what you need to know in the next post.

Our Application:
Please visit this site for more information on how to join White Star.
The Trial Period:
So you've read the brochure, had a meeting with a representative, and filled in the application. Talks and promises may be nice, but you don't really get to know people until you have actually spent time with them and flown with them.
Every new member starts off on the trial period. We do not distinguish between someone who is 5 minutes out of the tutorial or has 3 years of EVE experience.
The trial period is there for you to experience what our corporation is really like. The trial period is there for us to see if you will be a good fit.
During the trial period you will be given the rank of Trainee and are encouraged to look around, make friends and participate in our activities. You do not need to prove anything or pass an exam. All that we ask of you is to be yourself and let us get to know you.
We also ask that you fly to our region of space during the training period. Don't worry if you are new to the game. We will walk you through everything you need to know to get there, and get there safely. If you have lots of assets to move talk with us and we can work out a plan. Many times we already have everything in stock a person would need after arriving in Solitude.
The trial period is around 14 days long and will end with a private chat with one of our leaders followed by a promotion.
Should you decide that White Star is not the corporation for you, our ways will part with no questions asked and no hard feelings.
We look forward to getting to know and fly with you!

I joined White Star as a relative newbie. My first corp simply didn't work out the way I wanted, time zones and locations being the major factors.
White Star quickly opened my eyes to the many other possibilities in Eve that hadn't been apparent to someone with absolutely no experience in the game.
As the Recruiting Officer now for White Star, I try to share with other newer players that knowledge which was so expertly and openly shared with me as I began learning the intracies of Eve.
Is White Star for everyone? Certainly not, we are a unique group. However, I do feel that we can offer something to to just about anyone with the desire to be more than just a number, more than another blip on the screen.
Feel free to chat me up anytime.

Edited by: Sol Flare on 09/07/2007 23:28:27 A little over a year and a half a lonely noob pilot fitted with nothing but courage, a basic mining laser, 125mm hybrid rail, and 1 unit of trit in his trusty ibis set off into the unknown looking for nothing more then adventure, riches, and exotic dancers. Early in his travels he came across a small corporation looking to expand. Knowing nothing of this universe he now traversed through un-navigated, he gladly accepted and has since been a White Star pilot.
I have found adventure, riches, and plenty of exotic dancers . The White Star Consortium has seen some good times as well as bad. We have fought in losing wars as well as basked in the sun of victories. We've seen alliances crumble, titans engage, hostiles defeated, and Corp mates fall in battle. We've advanced into the deepest reaches of space only to see our efforts end with the defeat of our allies. But of all the things WSC has seen, what it is becoming will far exceed any adventure I sought.
Today, WSC is not the Corporation it once was. Though many friends that had help define our place in the past have moved on to other corps. A small core remained in WSC with a handful of new pilots, a "Time for a Change" post, and vision well outlined. This core group of pilots was not here to pick up the pieces of a ragged Corp... but to wipe away what once held together a small group of great pilots and build something that will hold together a great Empire. We still retain the values we have always fought for, and of those we have fought along side of.
We have made steps to move forward and with ever growing strength. We've changed almost every aspect of our Corporation to reflect the new WSC. From the way we run our political side, our logo, even down to the names of our hangars. We've prided ourselves on helping new players adapt to the EvE environment in hopes we earn their loyalty and friendship. We've gained new friends, war buddies, mission runners, and industrial pilots alike. Today I feel just as much loyalty to the Corp and its pilots as I did 1.5 years ago when I found out that training for a titan was going to take a bit longer then a few weeks .
I've made many friends while flying under this banner and look forward to making more. I remember the awe of undocking in that ibis and not knowing what to do next. I still feel that way from time to time... If you are looking for a new pilot friendly corp that is willing to sit down and help you out, we are definitely it. If you are looking to be a part of a growing Corporation where you are more then a number and a piece of cannon fodder... WSC is definitely it. If you are looking for exotic dancers... you're to late..
We are looking for pilots of all skill sets and directions. Come find your adventure with The White Star Consortium...

I joined WSCN a few weeks ago and haven't regretted a second, it's a great corp. I've been in eve almost 2 years now and this corp really does offer oppertunities to both new and old players alike.
You never know we may be just what you're looking for

Honestly, I joined the corp because they were the first to take a newbie fresh off the 2 week trial. I wanted to see how a corp worked in the game and have a place to ask questions. I wasn't expecting much coming out of other MMO games and some poor guilds in them. But I was curious and Brian seemed like he knew what he was talking about.
Its now been over 2 months in the corp and I have found that I dont know what I would have done without them. The WSCN is composed of a good group of patient and knowledgeable people. Who are happy to help when they can and actually take the time to teach you the ins and outs of the game. Without them I would probably have gotten lost in the game and eventually left because I couldn't figure out what to do.
Personally, I would like to thank the corp for allowing me to become a member. And I hope that I can give back to the corp as much as I have been given.
Thanks all, Ill see you in game.

I joined White Star at the start of my time in EVE. Best decision I ever made. So good in fact that after a brief tour of other corps and alliances I find myself back with White Star :)
