I'm about to explode because of all my captured stuff have been moved away to a ******ish directory (c:\documents and settings\etc\etc\etc), without asking. Those, who dont know, what I'm talking about; this is the directory, which used only by those, who can't handle even a normal file manager, or dont have the IQ to organise their stuff by themself (n00bs).
From now, if I capture a screenshot, I will have to look up for THAT directory. If I need a chatlog, I will have to dig trough the MOST HATED directory of the world (c:\longname\hatemicrosoft\moredirectory\deeper\digmore\CCP\EVE).
What have I done, why is this happening for? Why wasn't these directories affected by "/end /LUA:OFF", just like the settings directory?
Aaaaargh, rabble, rabble! And no, I dont want to use the "My Documents" folder. Never, ever. And no, you cant have my stuff.
And IBDS.

This was probably done so that EVE can function without admin capabilities. TBH this is a welcome change in EVE as well as other games. I'm so tired of games trying to write back to there install directories (except for Patching) for stupid things like save games, or screenshots, or whathaveyou, thus requiring admin privileges. Much better to write to the users own sandbox on the computer, and no one ever need permissions for application or system files. Also it makes nuking the OS and getting a fresh start easier because the data is separated from the actual application.

I don't think anyone ever had problems with accessing (permission) the screenshots and the chatlogs.

LOL. Was funny though. Always tickles me when people who detest MS so much still use it. Saying that I dunno if it's possible to run Eve on anything else. Need to brush up on my Nerd I guess.

I hope you will burn with Bill Gates together in hell.
Very mature,
This sandboxing concept is not an original MS idea, in fact its more UNIX like that it ever was MS like. Each user has there own space on the computer, where there session data, saved files, personal files, etc etc is kept. Applications are kept in public but locked section of the file system, accessible to be executed by a standard user but not modified in anyway (including all the files in that directory), except by someone with admin privileges. Thus all the user data is separated from the actual code making for a cleaner computing environment.
For years MS OSes have run in user admin mode by default (bad), how you could relate this to Bill Gates or MS is beyond me.

I am THE user. And I like to be an admin. And after posting that sentence, which was just a joke, I think my point is still valid.

Well, it is the only sane thing to do if you have >1 people accessing a computer. Whoever doesn't like it, install MS-DOS 6.0.
