I went to patch both of my clients and both of them failed due to a missing res/splash.bmp
No, I didn't modify the file or have any client modifications or anything like that. As far as I can tell, the file wasn't there at all when I went to patch.
Does anyone have a work around for this problem? Perhaps I could download this image file from someplace and attempt to patch again?
I'm looking at a 5 - 7 hour download for the full client and it is going to eat up the bandwidth for everyone else on this connection.

Can anyone humor me and upload the splash.bmp file to eve-files or something? It might still be in your test client folder if you have that. Think people are starting to log into the server. I'm looking at a long download.

There's a post about waiting during a visual 'hang' as the cache folder is copied to a new location...did you see that? or did you close the client off and try to restart...:)

I appreciate your help however it appears since the patch already changed a few files the entire installation is now considered corrupt so I will have to download the entire game again.
I suggest copying your EVE folder before trying to patch.
To clarify, this had nothing to do with the delay CCP warned about. This occurred after downloading the patch through the auto updater and letting it do its thing. For some reason, there wasn't a eve/res/splash.bmp in either of my 2 installations. This caused the patch to fail mid way through resulting in EVE being in an unusable state.
I never got to even load the Rev 2 client.
