*UPDATE*: It appears that my panic was unfounded. The kernite is required for storyline missions, not for LP rewards. So it should stay stable. Thanks!
According to the LP stores I checked, kernite is no longer required when purchasing +4 implants.....
Kernite sell prices were high above what it was actually worth due to this requirement. I personally made a large investment in Kernite thinking that Kernite demand would skyrocket as more people were able to afford +4 implants.
Apparently, there was a change made WITHOUT BEING LISTED IN THE PATCH NOTES. If this is actually the case, I would like to be reimbursed for the huge amount of cash I'm about to lose due to this error.

I don't think you're going to be reimbursed for losing money due to speculation. Doing anything in response (or hopes) of a patch is foolish, since CCP has a habit of not fully listing the changes, as you have found out.

Not listing such an important change that will have a dramatic effect on the market is rediculous. Now I'm running around on both of my accounts with indys trying to dump the stuff as quickly as possible.

You took a risk based on an assumption. It was (apparently) wrong. Live with it.
Otherwise I'll run around asking CCP to give me 30b for two Skiff BPOs.

On the other hand, if it WOULD have worked, I can only assume you wouldn't have donated your ISK profits to random newbies, yes ?
You ust picked the wrong "item type" to speculate in... should have picked named SPRs, like me

Yeah, this was pretty much the most royally embarassing forum post I've ever made. Fortunately, it turned out not to be an issue :) Laugh away at my expense; I deserve it!
Meanwhile, I'm cashing in about $200m worth of kernite at about a 50% profit anyways.......
