Jump in here...
I droped in the game on sunday and ran a couple of missions, a guy in local sprang up a screen shot of the lp store and those tags.
Another timesink was my inital thought, it's hard to see any anything else realy.

5x Amarr Navy Medium Smartbomb... for 738x Rep fleet cap insig + 120x rep fleet high cap insigs.
Throughout the 4 main Amarr regions, a grand total of 0 (zero) are for sale......... Do they really drop THAT ofen from level 5s? Or is someone smoking something that is not tobacco?

As far as mission runners are concerned, Caldari Navy is the new T2.

Except you can put up buy orders for them in space where they're not illegal.
You want Republic Fleet tags? Put up buy orders in Amarr and Caldari space and make sure you either out-range or out-price the NPC buy orders.

Not quite. Many tags drop, however they are normally sold to npcs who pay fairly good prices for them. If you want them you will have to offer more.

Well I was just being pessimistic. Where do they normally drop from? I have the devil of a time finding any or remembering where they drop.

The most consistent way is from missions. Certain missions, like Enemies Abound, In The Midst of Deadspace, Illegal Activity etc, have you shooting faction ships.
They don't drop bounties, but they generally have (crap) loot and tags.
