Amen brotha.
Having a button to toggle old/new style on the interface would be great, then I can fully extend my overview and don't have to look at the ugly green and huge module buttons all the time.

this is not offtopic, kinda goes hand in hand. another problem, which i noticed on sisi before revII went live:
the clickable area to toggle heat on individual mods is just so on top of the actual mod on/off area, you can easily overload unintentionaly. in combat where you often get lag spikes, i can see problems with accidental heat usage, leading to broken and unusable defensive/offensive mods, which leads to dead ships.
i can't think offhand of a solution to this, the overload rack options are somewhat effective, but i can think of ALOT of scenarios where you'd only want to overload individual mods not the whole rack.
maybe a mapable hotkey like using "control + mouse click" to target? as in, pressing O + then clicking the mod toggles? not perfect but would be nice place to start?
am i crazy? making sense? who cares anyways?

It is at least possible to disable overload activation (click the little triangle near the bottom left low-slot mod, and if you do not have thermodyanmics trained, it actually produces a popup instead of a log message, being more intrusive), but i agree, seeing as the skills are too much for people to train specifically for heat, this useless addition's UI is just annoying and un-nescessary. --------------

Yeah we need a way to just disable the overload options. Even if you have thermodynamics trained for whatever reason, you'd still want to be able to eliminate accidental activations.

CCP are among very few developers I know who manage to turn their UI significantly worse over time, /signed

I can't overload right now, but I noticed something that will just be horrible if i could..
THE RACK OVERLOAD BUTTONS ARE TOO CLOSE TO THE FIRST MODULE!
Instead of clicking on the first module, I could just accidentally click on the overload rack and boom, overload.
