**UPDATED Version 1.32**
http://userstyles.org/st...ine-classic-forums-style
I've integrated Grey's Changes into my style, and I've added an option to select fixed or non-fixed width when you install the style. This means that you no longer need to use my Greasemonkey script to change the page width.
Changelog: 1.32: Changed fixed width selector to only apply to post view [Alezra] 1.31: Updates to stickies, anouncements and new posts [Grey Stormshadow] 1.3: Fixed width selector added [Alezra] 1.2: Various modifications [Grey Stormshadow] 1.1: Total interface overhaul, forum and category view now included [Grey Stormshadow] 1.0: Initial Release, post view only [Alezra]
Background: I didn't like all the whining going on about the new forum style, so I hacked together some quick changes to make the new thread view look like the old forums. Grey Stormshadow followed up on my initial style and fixed the entire layout of the forums to match the old style.
For the record: I don't mind the new forum style, but I figured it was more proactive to write an alternate style than to argue with people in the whine threads.
Requirements: You'll need the Stylish Plugin installed to be able to use these themes For Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.o...S/firefox/addon/stylish/ For Chrome: https://chrome.google.co...kenffdnngjfgmeleoegfcffe |

Alezra wrote:http://userstyles.org/styles/46273/eve-online-classic-forums-style I made some rough changes to the forums using Greasemonkey in a thread earlier today, but I realized that most of the modifications that I wanted were easier to do through the Stylish plugin that's available for Firefox and Chrome. Combine this style with the width expander script from my other thread for extra-wide goodness. https://forums.eveonline....aspx?g=posts&t=5151If I have some time tomorrow I'll combine the greasemonkey forum width script into the stylish theme so you only have to install one thing.
You are an absolute legend, I can finally read the forums without my eyeballs hurting after 5 minutes!! 10 mil isk will be winging its way into your wallet for this |

Editing the style sheet to increase font size to 14 and using the Arial font has really helped me to avoid the headaches the forums were giving me too.
EDIT: changed it to Arial, as using a disney mermaid for a font wouldn't really work. |

That statement is 100% subjective.
CCP did what they thought was best based on previous feedback. Many of us did not like the old forums, and when we complained about it people trolled the threads and called us names. Its good to see CCP listening to people who weren't trolling asses about it, and its nice to see that *everybody* has options.
PS I am not calling anyone a troll for THIS thread, only the people who were rude about it previously.
Its parallel with the 12 font. There is no reason to hate on the 13 size font, and now we have a CHOICE.
Thank you CCP.
I would also like to thank Mozillia (sp) developers, open source and official. I used the old scipts on the old forums when I could, but access the internet from several computers that I am not admin of, so didn't use much. |

I've merged Grey's changes into my original style and I've added an option to set fixed or non-fixed width when you install.
Thanks Grey for doing all the stuff I was planning to work on today
For those who're wondering how to modify the width values, change these three settings:
Quote: .colmaskConstrained { width: 95% !important; }
.postdiv { width: 95% !important; }
.postedLeft { width: 95% !important; }
colmaskConstrained is the main forum window, postdiv is the container for the text in each post, postedLeft is the container for the header in each post.
Also, for those of you discussing the old font vs the new font, the old font is 11pt Verdana. |

Or they're insulted / pissed that a "nobody" in the community did in minutes what their 1337 crack team of programmers have been attempting to do for months.

Yes, I'm a cynical bastard. The changes in these styles are highly superficial: I can't speak for Grey, but the initial style only took me an hour and a half to write. All of the code structure was already laid out, and all I had to do was find the appropriate elements and recolor them and/or tweak the margins. The reason why the forums look the way that they do is because of intentional artistic choices, not because of a lazy developer (probably). I personally don't mind the new style, but there's also nothing wrong with having some choices available.

Genuine AwesomeGäó !!
I find 95% is a bit much (too much eyeball/head twisting), 85% looks more manageable ... from a personal POV. How would you center the main Eve forum home list (it's currently left aligned)? A very minor niggly bit.

- Fixes the format of stickies and announcements which have new posts - If thread doesn't have any new posts, it now has normal font (not bolded like it was).

Hmm, I poked at the home list for the forums and I might not be able to fix it with CSS.
All of the elements are floating, so the normal margin auto tricks aren't working.
I could make the main list expand to fill the screen, but that probably wouldn't look great either.
I'll look at it again after lunch sometime. |

I would actually rephrase that in an opposite way:
Or they're insulted / pissed that a "nobody" in the community did in minutes what their 1337 crack team of programmers have been attempting to avoid to do for months.
Because this awesome stuff would distort their "vision". Please note I used a normal "awesome" here, not CCP's awesome(TM).
