Sadly, if you do not have any LPs with a corp, you cannot check out there LP Store to see what they have to offer (thus, keeping you in the dark about whether or not you want to start running missions to accrue LPs to buy stuff). In other words, NO WINDOW SHOPPING. Please, CCp, let us window shop. Allow pilots to check out the products in LP Stores owned by corps with whom they do not yet have LPs.

My guess is 1 week until theres a searchable db somewhere like coldfront, chepe nolan's or elfarto. Mission runners are kind of kooky about that.

Right, because level 1 missions are easy or something?? Come on, they've already nerfed my beloved Drake which is going to make the level 1's even HARDER to do!

How many corporation is there ? 250 ? 300 ?
There is about 30 in one of the 4 major "empires", that makes 30 * 8 = 4 hours just to enable the stores of gallente space, in addition to checking them afterwards (Window shopping isn't just checking one store). It seems to me like a huge useless waste of time. It's time-consuming for the sake of being time-consuming, and that's all there is to it.
Enabling it whenever standings is above 1 seems like a better solution than enabling when 1 LP is gained. It also makes more sense.

Oh yeah, sure, 8 minutes x 1 mission x 20 different corps that I'm curious about which are spread out over various systems from Everyshore to Lonetrek. yeah, easy, wouldn't take a lot of time and be a hassle at all. How stupid of me.

Seriously, everybody is in the same boat. You don't all have to do it. Just share known information amongst your friends. You are in one of those mighty alliance thingummybobs, I'm sure you have people to talk to.
And like they say, somebody will DB it all anyhows.
If the contents of every LP store in every corp in every Eve universe is seriously that much of all encompassing massive dark hole of knowledge that you thimply mutht have, then get grinding.
Or are you one of those people that is so special you shouldn't have to?

Well... now it is nerfed. That will end BoBs march through 0.0 for sure. The absolutely unstoppable has been stopped. No more supremacy for BoB.
BoB did only ever fly Drakes right? Seeing as they were unkillable killing machines right?

I really hope you meant this as a joke of some kind.
My OP was to simply point out at this point of a new patch that: a) mission runners need to be aware that all corp LP stores cannot be accessed; b) it would be nice of CCP could help us ALL out and make that info available for ease of missioning choices. The obvious corollary to my OP post, of course, is that all of us mission runners need to start taking a look at whatever stores we can access, and begin building a db for everyone.
The question: "Or are you one of those people that is so special you shouldn't have to?" was really an unnecessary dig. Exactly why you were compelled to make it, I have no idea. Do you have some kind of mission-runenrs chip on your shoulder or something. Sooorrayyy. Enjoy Rev. 2.

EvE is supposed to be vast, not E-bay roleplay.
Do mission, explore. It's in the spirit of the game.

The store really should be available to everyone to view it.
I don't understand why they would hide the store if you have 0 LP. It's a store. People browse stores...

You are lucky to even have the store. It only makes sense to view Corporations inventory when you have SOME relations with them. What did you do prior the store, ask CCP for a corporations table loot dump for you to preview? No. Enjoy what you have, and again, Explore.

It's all seems to be an issue of game play and how people want to spend their time. Time = ISK. Fairly simple. to "explore" as you call it, takes time (flying to stations, running a single lvl1 to just open up the store, etc etc.). This is all very well and good for folks who want to do that. I say - wonderful. Have fun. But other pilots feel differently. This is why so many different databases are made to cut down on exploring things that certain pilots don't wantto explore. A good example is the mission database. I couldn't live without it. However, I do know some pilots who would rather fly into a mission and assess it on the fly -- it adds a level of excitment and danger. Not for everyone, but I would hope that tehse pilots wouldn't look down on others who use the mission db.
I am always struck by how personal s many pilots take this game and their own private style of playing -- as if everyone must/should play like them or else they are playingit wrong, or are lazy, or whatever. Bzzz. Wrong. Many styles of play, exploratin, and experiening the game. Back to the subject at hand, a way to simply browse through a corp's store, ANY corp's store, would be nice.

And I on the same token dislike that some people can just Browse what is supposed to be actually discovered on their own through play. As you have noticed I did not comment on your play style, I said that exploration is in the spirit of the game, you can see that in the latest changes as well.
The Mission databases are an add-on, a bonus for you. By the same token i don't see why anything in this game is not transparent. I want to have the location of every site, it's spawn rate, it's rats, damage types, gas clouds, where and how do i get gas cloud harvesting modules, etc.. but it is not easily obtained. Maybe it should, i don't know. It's CCPs game. My idea is that they do like players to move more into exploration, hence all the changes with scanner and such.
Agent LP store is not really that bad. Again, how were you picking a corp to run missions for prior to the patch? Hearsay? Trying out?
To me the LP store is not a glimpse of what each corp can ultimately give you but to solve the issue with you having 10 agents of 1 corp with some LPs here and there. Another issue was agents not giving out LP offers too often and when they did, some of the offers were weird.

What they ought to do is to make you need some standing to see higher offers that you can't afford. This isn't a store it's a "nudge, nudge, wink, wink, nobody would think anything of it if you agreed to field-test this for us, know what I mean?" kind of arrangement. ----- Currently playing: Hello Kitty Online Character: Evil Kitty of DEATH |
