Using the system scanner, I can't lock/highlight any of the top box options - Cosmic Sig, scrap, etc. I can highlight on-board scanner.
I have used shift/ctrl/etc to see if that helps, nada. I have cleared cache, no change. Another corp mate has the same problem.
Please advise

I have the same issue on one client but not the other one. I will check later to see if its the same on all chars on that client.

Me too, but my alt with decent probing skills, has just found 2 deadspace signatures. I think, I'll wait and check them after this emergency DT.

yah. my friend was telling me how easy it was last night, "just click on cosmic signitures, click the onboard scanner, hit analyze. voila". umm, nah. when i click a group nothing happens, it doesnt highlight, same with the onboard scanner in the lower box. when i hit anaylize nothing happens. hopefully it gets cleared up soon.

in some 30 odd attempts to use this hunk o junk scanner it has worked one time so add me to the list of those it doesn't work for.

Same thing here. None of the top scan types will select and it will not allow me to activate the new scanner.

its only can scan cosmic signatures so basicly you can only chose cosmic signatures with it nothing more nothing less.

Yeah. We know it only works for Cosmic Sigs, the trouble is we cannot select anything to scan for, not cosmic sigs, nothing.
I finally went ahead and trained Astrometrics to level 1 and now I can select a scan group and the scanner now works. Obviously either they want you to train the skill before using the scanner, or they messed up and did not remove the interface skill check.
Anyway, with Astrometrics level 1 it now says I can select up to 1 group and my New On-Board Scanner works. |

Verified - I trained it up (25 mil sp and never needed it before)

wish that had worked for me but I had the skill before they added this hunk o junk and it still doesn't work....think I'll break down and buy a launcher and some probes today since I assume the standing bug isn't fixed.

I have the same problem... And I am a well seasoned explorer.. probes and the scanner are not new to me.. its definatly a bug. You cant keep the cosmic sig or anything selected.. it deselects immediatly.
Hopefully CCP fix it asap... Odd that it only works for some.. I have reinstalled totally and deleted cache to see if that would help and it didnt...

I too have this problem. I'm waiting for Astrometrics to train to level 1 right now. I'll report back on whether or not this fixes the problem for me
