Since revelations 2 I cannot get the port input field to show up on the login screen anymore! Until now you had to specify networkAdvanced=1 in prefs.ini to get it, now after the patch, that doesnt work anymore. But I need to use an alternate port since port 26000 is blocked! (I use a different server address to log in, that server routs the traffic to the real port and address)
I cannot connect to eve anymore!
Can you help?

a workaround would be to install a tool like Fpipe on your local machine, edit you hosts file so the IP of TQ is associated with localhost and then setup an Fpipe from localhost:26000 to wherever you need it to go.
dunno how it'll work out lagwise tho.

Edited by: Morke on 21/06/2007 09:57:02 Fpipe is a nice tool but it doesnt work for this. The initial connection is ok, but when going on it gives an error and the connection is dropped. Using putty locally and an ssh server (using that of cygwin is the best way in my eyes) on the pc to forward to tranquility did the trick. You have to connect to the local address however as I did not find a way to use the hosts file to redirect from tranquility to the local ip as tranquility apparantly does not have a dns name.
If you need further instructions, let me know and I'll describe more in detail.

Nice - so thats the new location of prefs.ini.
Good to know, but the new tunnelling method I use now is nicer anyway, so I dont need the advanced network settings anymore.
