Upon looking at all the new skill hard-wirings in the LP store, I noticed that all of them have a 1% bonus to their attribute instead of the 5% I've seen listed by several people already. Is the pecentage based on your current Cybernetics skill level now, or does the actual bonus not display correctly until you aquire the implant physically? I don't really feel like wasting LP's on implants if they're only for a 1% bonus. Thanks for any and all insight to the matter. |

Change your filter settings to show all items, or all implants - not just the items you can afford. The LP shop is stocked with 1%, 3%, and 5% hardwirings.

Thank you, didn't realise that CCP decided to add implants with such pathetic bonuses as 1%. At that amount, what's the point? Thanks for the info though, should have realised that sooner.

example :
2 x kestrels open fire on each other with thesame type of missile. 1 x pilot has a 1% damage mod implant, the other doesnt. 1 x implant pilots hit the other doing 101 x 4 damage and the none-implant pilot hits back doing 100 x 4 damage.
I know its a really rubbish explaination, but its the best i could come up with while 'ninja surfing' at work But you get the point do you? Folks will fit those 1% implants just to get that 'little extra' ----------------- Drones : 19 skills, 20,480,000 points |

1% can be the difference between going home in a pod or in your ship. And if you don't want to waste your LPs, don't. Phoenix Logistics Industries

Edited by: Gomaz on 21/06/2007 19:21:00 its not so much that the 1% would make a difference as it is to add a tier system for them. The prolbem I have been having is some of them are listed 3 or more times. as well as the pricing on some of them should be adjusted to promote them being used.

Actually, I did find a use for them. I used a 1% Powergrid implant to get that extra 15 PG i needed to finish a T2 Ferox setup.
Don't you just hate when it says "You need 40 CPU to fit said item, but only 39.7 CPU is available"
ha! Fixed...
Yeah that doesn't come up too often, but when it does, theres now a cheap way to fix it =)

Imagine implant with 1% bonus on a blasterthron. Without it u doin what? 800dps. Dont know but let's say it's 800. With implant u got 808 dps and let's say fight lasts for 1 minute. 60 * 8 = 480. 480 hp is like 5% of shields/armor hp. So by putting 1% implant in your head u actually get 5% decrease in armor or shield hp implant for your opponent.
Just a thought :/

You can write all the numbers you want to try to make it seem worth it, but 1% makes no difference in this game. Usually when you die it's because your out matched or out numbered, no 1% of anything makes a big difference. ☠-->-->--

Actually, on very long battles with passive tanking drake, having +3% shield recharge can make the difference that allows you to outtank your opponent and to force him to warp out.
So, for example, a +1% shield recharge and a +1% shield capacity on slots that I am not using anyways may be worth looking at.
