Edited by: Diss Champ on 21/06/2007 02:19:40 There have always been useless offers for LP- that category has been most of them. That they are more visible with the store, and that a large number of the new offers are useless is why this comes to manys' attention now.
There are also some things that are now cheaper to get from the store than the market, even assuming a nominal LP value in ISK set by the value of the faction BSes. They will see their market prices drop until people no longer want to use LP for them. I forsee specialty connections skillbooks dropping hardest.
On the whole, missions are less worth doing as a profession, and slightly more worth doing as an occasional sideline as a result of the patch. Less as a profession, because one no longer needs careful agent management to get to the best offers- so the value of the items for those offers will drop. Easier as a sideline, because the one thing level 5 missions do provide is an easy way for a corp to get their members standings up fast by finishing a few 5s in a gang. But only a enterainment sideline, because so many other things pay more and don't take nearly as much risk.

When you have Multi-Billionaires with tons of LP who do nothing but missions WITH the Isk to buy out a entire region like it was only coffee money, Then you will have price gougers in this game forever! Especially the ones who are lucky enough to get on the test server and see whats going to happen before the rest of the masses do

No luck involved in that. If you can play on TQ you can play on SiSi. Just follow the instructions on the Gametesting forum.
Oh and you can also hang out on #eve-chaos on public server too like many people do. New (buggy) things of upcoming content are discussed there. There's regular presence of CCP employees there.
Oh wait, does that mean I have an hotline to devs? z0mg?

The LP store will actually mean that mission runners will get less ISK...

So you don't think that 79 million for a ZGM1000 is expensive?

Edited by: Khan Dhu on 21/06/2007 04:19:32 It's an interesting quandary.
Right now the most stable LP-to-isk offer I've found are the "chips" needed for faction ship offers. Not the tags, but the "Alpha Nexus" and "UUC" chips. 80k LP can be converted into 79.2 million (factoring 1% sales tax) through NPC buy offers, effectively. Each highest-level chip sells to NPCs for eight million apiece, a far cry from the 20-60m they *used* to go for.
This means the "bare minimum" value that should be assigned to LP is 990LP/isk. So a 79375LP implant with a 31.75m isk cost *should* cost a bare minimum of 110,331,250 isk to "break even" value-wise.
This adds difficulty since +5s, at 65k LP and 65m, means all +5s (even Charisma and Memory, the two "lowest priced" ones pre-patch) need to sell for a minimum of 129,350,000 isk to "break even."
Add the stupidity some people show on markets, and you've got a problem. +5s will gain a larger market as people train Cybernetics V to get at the new implants, and players who get desperate to get their original 65m back will encroach on the 129,350,000 "break even" point. It's already happening - people are so desperate to make a profit that they're devaluing the "cost" of LP.

I agree with most of what you said. In addition, I think missions will be used by PvPers like me to get our implants easier. I'm comtemplating training Cybernetics IV and V now, something which I would have not considered before.
