Aren't all missions supposed to give bonus rewards? I just got one without.
Also, what implant do you get from Carthum Conglomerate?

I've had some missions without bonus... I'm not sure, but I believe those increase standing more than the other missions...

The only mission I know that does not give a time bonus is "Spirited Away". All of the other missions seem to give time bonuses.
Carthum Conglomerates gives Intell implants.

The missions I get without any bonus are ALL scenario missions and I've seen no noticeable differences in the 'weight' of the standing change for completing them.

Yeah, the scenario missions are slightly fubar right now.
"Try looking for it using the forum search tool." - ClanZero's search is outdated, last time they mirrored the forums was november. (or were you being sarcastic?)

A mission only gives a bonus if the mission writer (usually Zrakor) decided that particular mission should give a bonus.
In other words, not all missions do give bonuses.
Most missions either always give a bonus, or never. Some missions may vary however, f.ex. scenario missions which often/always are configged to only give a bonus if the "scenario level" matches the agent level. With level 3 agents, that's a bummer of a criteria.

Edited by: Luther Pendragon on 16/01/2004 21:52:25 I'd like to point out that i appreciate that not all missions give time bonuses. It adds variety and I even though I know I dont have to have the time bonus, it stresses me anyways and I dont want to be stressed all the time. I actually would prefer fewer time bonus missions, that bonus missions really were bonuses rather the norm.

Agreed. Though I find that the bonus is primarily all that's of interest to me, as other than the 'special' type missions, the bonus is where the random loot comes from. That variety helps numb running the same mission over and over again some. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

I don't think I agree; or I don't understand. Simply due to the reason that Wraeth says:
The time bonuses are the varying bit of the mission. I like how it's different from one time to the next, even when a, um, 'similar' mission is given for the N*10th time.
ISK is nice, but the bonuses are also nice to keep my interest. Even by offering me a single ECM Burst thing, 34 shuttles, or something more cool...whatever.
Doesn't have to be mega-big reward all the time, just a little something besides the ISK to keep it interesting. And to make me feel more [tech 2 stuff] or less [shuttles, h-batteries] loved from mission to mission.
It's also something to work for *if* I want to and *if* I'm not doing other stuff as well.
For this reason, I want all missions to have "bonuses". They don't all have to be "kickass bonuses", for the reasons that Luther gives.
I also want the Scenarios from level 3 agents turned off because of this and the other 5 reasons I enumerated elsewhere :)
I want I want I want. LOL, I probably don't care that much :) Like I'm gonna stop playing or something. If this is what I whine about, Eve must be a good game :)

Another point would be that no all 'loot' rewards should be bonus missions rewards only. They could be rewards for regular missions, just not as much. ____________________________________ Taggart wants YOU. Join TTi! *waves his hand in your face in the jedi way* |
