hey my main is a heavy speced minmatar pilot but im about to train for the caldari raven to get a good mission runningship, my question is will the value of the charr drop if i train caldari BS and "break" the spec

I honestly don't see how having more skills could make someone worth less... its just icing on the cake really.

Of course your character always increases in value as the amount of skillpoints increases. I think what the OP means is, will the value of his character increase faster when he sticks to Minmatar, or does it not matter. This has of course everything to do with specialized characters being worth more then allround specced characters.
In my opinion it depends on how much skillpoints you currently have. If you have 5m skillpoints in one race and start crosstraining, then yeah, you're ******* up the char a bit. But if you have 40m skillpoints and are expanding to a race with several related skills (like you're doing), then in my opinion you're not "breaking" the spec, as the spec.

There are other mission running ships than the Raven. My Gallente character uses the Hyperion and the Dominix. And they're vastly different in styles/skills. Right now the Domi is a hands-down winner with a massive tank that can handle the full aggro of an average Level IV room.
And I'm grinding up my gunnery skills to get OUT of the Raven and it's dull, cookie-cutter wtfpwnpvegod mode. I'd rather be in a Hyperion and have a bit of fun, then spam FOF missiles all day like a macro-mission runner.

i have no fun in missions so id rather go afk spamming fof missiles while watching ****
or is it a stealthnerf to highsec suicide pirates? |
