For the first time since Retail was released, i cleaned my cache by using the "tool" from eve-i.com. Eversince i did that (last night) iŠve been experiencing several CTDs, EvE laggs like $hit and my loading time takes FOREVER.
I cleaned out all cache except the game-settings, and i have NEVER had this kind of problems before.
I rarely/never CTD and EvE is loading very fast. My Connection is 10Mbit and my Computer is quiet nice.
It all started when i cleared my cache, so WTF could it be .

It could have something to do with you clearing your cache.

Looking at my tracrt it seems that Iceland Telecom or something like that has some major troubles with their equipment. This lags everything behind it - including game server and website. Unfortunately it is weekend, so I am not holding my breath on them fixing it.

lost a ship, to bad, but ccp does not replace ships. (sucks, I know, lost a few to CTD's early on)
If they decide to backpeddle now, they got a few thousand ships to replace from when the CTD's were causing ships to be lost right and left AND THEY KNEW IT WAS A GAME ISSUE not a connection issue. ...fear the evil monkey in your hanger...

Aren't the game servers located in London? I think it says so in the FAQ.

yeah, website laggy, game laggy
this page just came up slowly like a zx spectrum used to draw it's graphics on the screen (one at a time) and nowadays i'm on a broadband connection.
i was playing eve last summer on a 56k dial up modem connection, i may have had lag sometimes but it was quite playable at other times
i'm simply not playing at present, my attentions being diverted over to a certain other game (but we aren't allowed to say the names of other games)
it's the old, not enough time, too many immersive titles to play argument
i'll look at Eve again in a couple of weeks |

Lots of lag today. Makes eve a bit unplayable imo.

Yes, indeed they are. However, here's the trace (I think I might have to edit this a few times to make it readable..):
-- 11 22 ms 19 ms 20 ms zar1-ge-2-0-0.Stockholm.cw.net [166.63.220.81] 12 20 ms 22 ms 21 ms ycr1-ge-3-2-0.Stockholm.cw.net [166.63.220.145]
13 27 ms 28 ms 29 ms ycr1-so-1-0-0.Copenhagen.cw.net [208.173.216.25]
14 28 ms 28 ms 27 ms ycr2-so-2-0-0.Copenhagen.cw.net [208.173.216.2]
15 42 ms 41 ms 41 ms bcr1-so-2-0-0.Amsterdam.cw.net [208.173.211.233]
16 83 ms 49 ms 48 ms bcr1.Thamesside.cw.net [166.63.210.61] 17 48 ms 48 ms 48 ms iar1-loopback.Thamesside.cw.net [166.63.210.7] 18 * * 51 ms iceland-telecom-ltd.Thamesside.cw.net [166.63.217.6] 19 * 51 ms 50 ms ls-uk-gw2.isholf.is [157.157.139.3] 20 88 ms * 89 ms 157.157.151.249 21 * * * Request timed --
As you can see it is iceland-telecom-ltd.Thamesside.cw.net that is causing the problems.
