I bought the game today. Installed it, made the account and started playing. I created 3 characters (just for fun) to check out some races. I did not care about looks/attributes/class, just wanted to see what it was like.
But when i tried to delete them and create one which i would grow with, i got the response that you have to wait 10 hours before you can delete that character and create a new one in that slot... Do i have to wait 10 hours or is there something i can do to speed up the process. Otherwise i have to wait for 10 hours before i can start playing and thats not fair

it takes 10 hours to delete the char u made!!
i dont think there is any way to speed this process up!!

Fariness is a relative term...
The 10 hours is to stop griefing and to give you a cool off period when you have a sudden attack of deletion craze.

Your gona have to wait im afraid, they put that delay in cos people used to create alts to scam/greif. As soon as they were found out they would delete and create a new character straight away (people still do use alts to scam but at least there a delay now).
You could however, try and send petition explaining what happened. Maybe a GM will be able to help u.

In the meantime you could try to get a feel for the game and mess about a bit and then get a fresh start tomorrow.

Actually I would say this isn't wasted time anyway. Use that 10h to learn the interface etc ... explore ... see whats out there, at no risk. Use that time constructively and you might have a better idea how you want to shape your main (and in particular the attribute points etc)
So set the timer to kill 1 or 2 of the chars now - and use the third to play now and experience things a bit 
Any cash you make during this time you can just donate to your main when its created ...
