It's description says: "Skill at interacting with Concord. 4% Bonus to effective security rating increase."
Papa Smurf in and old post stated that: "Fast Talk applies when losing sec rating in space"
So in which of the following occasions does fast talk apply: * Shooting convoys? * Attacking PC:s in empire space? * Declining a mission? * Aborting a mission? * The standing decay? * The npc faction/corp hit you may take while doing missions for their npc faction/corp enemy. * All of the above?
Developer input regarding this would be highly appreciated.

Very good question. The description and Papa Smurf's explenation seem totaly contradictory to me. Description indicates the skill is used when GAINING sec-status. Papa indicates it is used when LOSING sec-status.
So, wich one is it... or is it both? |

There's a complete description of ALL the social/agent skills, in the mission forum. I'm just to lazy to go find them at this exact moment....sorry.

When you are supposed to lose sec standing during combat, fast talk reduces the loss.

Thank you for the info.
I would sugest changing the description of the skill then. Mabye it's just me, but I would enterpret the description the other way around (ie. bonus to the increase you get for killing pirates). |

The 1000-isk question is if anyone has managed to raise sec status since castor. I've killed off tons of npcs and haven't done any pk at all in empire space since castor -- my sec status has been completely frozen. --- The Tarsis Shriners |

Nope, as per the news, and the patch notes post castor, all sec ratings that involve killing npc's for ratings, have been frozen.

From the Dev Chat :
hellmar> you acctually gain sec standing for killing pirates, it's just updated every 15 minutes and the max kill is what counts hellmar> so rid the world of pirates to gain favour of concord
Your Mega Afocal Pulse Maser I perfectly strikes Asteroid (Veldspar) [R0ME], wrecking for 798.3 damage.
Your 425mm Railgun I perfectly strikes Guardian Captain, wrecking for 685.9 damage.

I was under the impression that the increase in security status was the highest 1 from all the NPC's you had killed in a 10 to 15 minute period, so if you kill 20 0.00001 and 1 0.00007 you get 0.00007 added to your sec status for that 10 - 15 minute period

Has anyone read an official line on wether or not the natural decay is coming back and why it went?

Same here, been playing abiut 1 month, I spend most of my time killing NPCs, (specially since I found a cruiser spawn :) ) but my sec rating hasn't budged from 0.0... wish it would move, makes people feel edgy round me. ------------------------------------------------ I've always owned Kehmor, cheap as chips off Ebay
