hi,
I am new at this game. I understand more and more but I am quite confuse with the Manufacturing and Research.
I read the player guide http://www.eve-online.com/guide/en/g13.asp but I don't know where is the factory wizard and the lab wizard. I am lost too with blueprint.
Is someone could give me some advices to understand all this part of the game? Or better a good tutorial ?
thks for your help!

To Manufacture anything, you need a Blueprint. Most can be bought on the Market.
Check the Info on a Blueprint and that has lots of, er, information.
Right click on a Blueprint and you have several options.
Material Research. You will waste some of your raw materials unless you do some ME research on the blueprint first. The more you do, the less you waste. Time Research reduces manufacturing time. Copying makes copies of the blueprint. Only Originals (like the one you bought) can be copied, and each copy has a limited print run of up to 100. You want to build your own Battleship, go buy a single run Copy from a pilot. Manufacturing is the actual make stuff option.
To do any of the above you need to have the blueprint at the right location. Having made your choice dialog boxes will appear (these are the wizards). You can work though them until you get a quote from the factory or lab which you can accept or cancel. For everything you need ISK of course, and for Manufacturing you will need the raw materials listed on the Blueprint. The wizard will tell you if any are missing. For Research at NPC stations there will probably be a queue, 20-30 days is typical at present. Player Stations offer immediate access Research slots by private arrangement.
Like everything else in Eve all this takes some brainwork, but if you can fly a spaceship without being pwned by everyone then you probably have the IQ to cope with Manufacturing. Buy a cheap blueprint for something easy like say the Ammunition you presently use and try it out. A spreadsheet will help

thanks for answering.
I built some ammo and now I understand how it works. I was confused about original and copy blueprint but u gave me a clue.
I noticed too that to get a lab we need to wait for several days as you explained to me.
I keep going to read tutorial that I found.
thks

eventually you can get into 0.0 with a corp and use POS to do research !!! but thats down the road. So, wait the 30+ days to do research ... or, just don't bother right now until you have more money.

No need to go to 0.0 to do research. Just find a corp with a High Sec PoS for research. Lots of them out there.

Try the installation tab and look a bit around for the kind of research you want to do. Moving around a bit (8-9 jumps) I usually can find a copy slot with only 1 day queue, even in high sec. Material Efficency is way harder, but you can find slots with 4-5 days queues.
If you can research multiple BPO at the saem time you can organize your works so that you can start immediatly a new research project as soon as you complete one.
Look the sticky here and in the modules section for the Research and Developement work too.
While getting a T2 BPO is almost impossible today and will be deleted in the near future, you can get Research Points to buy datacores (1 datacore every 2-3 days at start), doing almost no work, and as the datacores sell at around 1/2 million they can be a nice extra income at the start of your career.
