Right now I'm collecting money so I can buy my very first Cruiser (caldari).
Which cruiser do u think I should buy? And how much does the insurence cost?

blackbird, fit it with 250 mm and launchers. med slots: perhaps a shield booster, mwd and sensor dampening. Later on you can try more with the medium slots ( tanking or jamming).
This is not a hijack

i think, as the guy can JUST afford his first cruiser, the carcal would b a bad choice, missiles cost isk.
the blackbird is a great PVP ship, but again, is he really going to do PVP with his first cruiser.
Id go for the moa, or a osprey(osprey was my first, and was nice). farm some NPCs, get the isk, if u then want to get into PVP go for a blackbird.

Edited by: Joshua Calvert on 18/01/2004 16:16:00 Don't listen to Lianhaun - she's a typical woman and likes the slyness of the blackbird!
A real mans Caldari cruiser would be a Caracal - requires very little thought!
5 h-50's, 10mn mwd, 2 sensor boosters, 1 warp jammer, 2 cap relays.
Pure damage goodness.

The most versitile Caldari Cruiser is probably the Black Bird. It's fast, can carry decent weapons, had a ton of medium slots, and it's less expensive than a MOA. Great ship to learn stuff in.
Oh, and I not only use windows mode but have two PCs. I can play, read the forums, walk and chew gum all at the same time.

Depends on what you want to do...
Osprey is a good general purpose Cruiser...Good for Mining; good for low level NPC hunting.
Blackbird/Caracal - Both are good for PvP but their limited number of gun slots doesn't make them very good for any mining despite their cargo capability.
Moa - Lots of guns but limited cargo makes this a poor choice for mining as well but it makes it next to ideal for hunting some of the more powerful NPCs.

Ospreys my choice as well. It was my first and second (oops) cruiser. best is the mid slots. more than the moa, so you can put on 2 10% cap rechargers and mine with 3 miner2, and then have a launcher or SB, and drones for guard duty.
3 250 rails and a launcher or 2/2
oh, and did i mention you can get 2 or 3 of them for the price of a Moa. that and most people ignore an Osprey. a BB or Moa is asking for attention, and a fight.
