Got their second and third albums. Just need to find out if the first one is worth getting.
Oh, and does Jean Michel Jarre count?

Jean Michel Jarre is nice, it's fun to listen to all of the electronic music he have
And by the way, i'm from the same city as the group Royksopp is from , and it's Troms° in Norway.
But for really good trance music, i will say DJ Tiesto, ATB, Armin Van Buuren, Electric Universe, Paul Oakenfold, Airwave, DJ Sakin & Friends, DJ Sakin.
And for albums, i will say DJ Pi, In Trance We Trust are nice
For electronic space music, there is one that are called Steve Roach, he's good at making space music and that .

Ah yeah and some other stuff now I am stuck in the office and not flying my ship: * U96 remixes of Das Boot movie soundtrack * KLF - pretty much anything * Orbital - same again * Brian Eno's stuff, not strictly techno per se, but without Eno & David Byrne's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, techno probably wouldn't be techno....
and if you really want to see the root origins of modern techno:
* Kraftwerk - Die Mensch Machine (The Man Machine)

Psytrance and Goa fans are more fun, imo. Scene is less drama, better vibe. Infected Mushroom is trying to move in that direction too if you ask me... but their old stuff is wonderful. Infected mushroom was here in L.A. for the Electric Daisy festival just a few days ago. Awesome party.

OP, if you like van Dyk and Tiesto, then maybe Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten would be cool to check out. It's hard for me to remember names though. I'm not a DJ, I just have alot of music. But sometimes I know the song but I have no idea who produced it unless I read the filename while it's playing. So many DJs, it's hard for me to keep track of it.
