Edited by: Anselot on 27/06/2007 08:35:11 alright i know this is gonna sound a wee bit weird, but i have these tiny little black bugs crawling around in my bed, they don't bite or anything like that but they make me itch like a madman.
i change my sheets at least once a week and i bathe every night, i have even sprayed my room with bug spray several times in the past 2 months but they keep coming back.
it is becoming impossible to sleep due to the itching and to tell the truth they are starting to gross me out, they just crawl and jump around, their very small and their black. anyone know what they could be and how to get rid of them FOR GOOD!!

Starting to gross you out? After 2 months, they're only starting to gross you out?
They could be bed bugs. I'm not sure though. I've never had this problem.

sounds like plague fleas.
they're attracted to filthy/sweaty people who don't was their sheets. exposure becomes terminal after a couple of weeks, when they burrow under your skin and lay eggs.
i couldn't find any photos of this specific strain, but google for 'fly strike' to see a very similar parasite.

We need an emote puke face.
Question: Do you have pets?
If you do then it sounds as if you have a flea infestation that you have left far far to long. Check the interwebs for answers and directions on how to deal with it.
Seriously dude all that time.....

Afraid not...you only get those lumps if you are allergic to the fleas saliva. fleas sizes can be from around 0.5mm up to 3mm and they jump. Ow how they can jump 30cm if my memory serves.

Actually the best way to find out if it is fleas is to run your hand through your pets fur. If you find lots of little black dots (dried blood) you have fleas.

It's most definitely fleas. 6 dogs and 2 cats and he lives on a farm? Fleas. My sister says you should steam your bed sheets (she's a woman so she'll know this kind of crap).

If I even saw one flea on my bed I would take the sheets and mattress, burn them, fumigate the room and sleep in another one for a couple of weeks.
2 months and its only STARTING to freak you out, dude....
But for a bit of possibly helpful advice, get one of those plug in insect repellers and set it to the mosquito/flea setting and put it under the bed. All going well, you should see them all leave the bed and move to your parents room

Bugs eh?
1. Wash your bed sheets as hot as possible, and if they come back just was them again. If you can't use the washing machine right away, store the bed sheets in a plastic bag so the bugs don't escape. Also clean your matress, take it out, shake it, whip it, vacuum clean it. 2. Vacuum clean your room, if you have any rugs on the floor, wash them as well. If you have any *****s in the walls, try to clean them as well, bugs like to hide in small ***** just to jump out at night and say "Mohahaha, fooled you!" 3. Get some flea collars to your dogs/cats, maybe even wash them (have fun )
If you do get a bite, try not to itch on it, that can make it worse; wet the bite with some of your saliva instead...

Only way to completely get rid of a flea infestation is to fumigate the entire house, and give all pets a bath, and wash all your clothes. If even a few survive anywhere, they will just keep coming back each time. It's either get them all at once or not at all...

I think that the morally correct thing to do is napalm it.
It just seems right.

You're probably best napalming the whole house for that matter. Fleas spread from room to room (because of the pets you have roaming around) and they can lay their eggs in the carpets.
You'll need to get anti-flea powder, spread it round the house on all areas that your pets visit, sit, eat, sleep (etc). And then you'll need to get the pets treated for both fleas and worms (fleas can sometimes cause worms in pets, especially cats).
I know it sounds drastic, but this is about what it amounts to. On average you should get your pets treated every 3-6 months (especially if you're in a warm country).

This might sound a bit bad to say but is there any chance your just imagining these bugs? maybe you did have some and now they have gone? But the mental trauma of having these bugs crawling on you may be causing your brain to imagine they are there, have you ever watched a program about bugs and started itching even though they are obviously not on you? I suggest that you simply try a pest control company and if it still happens after they have treated your house then maybe consider seeing a doctor
