Edited by: Odessayeti on 27/06/2007 12:28:27 I was wondering does anybody rember a game for the old macs that came out kind of 96'' ish Called "Escape Velocity"
[url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escape_Velocity_(computer_game)"[/url]
When I first started playing Eve I kind of got the feeling some of the Devs had played Escape velocity which is great cause I was always hoping for a new version of that, et voila! my idea of a mmorpg that reminds me of E.V. (as it was called uncanny resembelance to Eve ). Love it.

Eve is the 'Elite MMO'.
I will never forget undocking from that blasted station in Lave, and then dying 10 times before I managed to dock again (and lost half my armor doing so) for the first time.

... or smuggling your high tech goods into a fugitive system. Win a massive fight, relax, watch your docking computer smear you across the side of a station.
aah, them's the days.

Actually, all the EV Games are available for PC, but I played them first on a Mac, too. Nova was pretty fun though. I always joined the Polaris because their ships were so much better.

EV is awesome. It's where I got my fabulous name from Why there should be a breathalyzer to login to Eve:

Definite "Elite" influence on many sci-fi computer games, EVE included.
Oh gods! Is it really 22 years since I first achieved "Elite" status on the BBC 'B'?
