A Recent Exploit that apparently led to some players sending long Bios to others players was fixed within the last couple of days. By doing this the exploiters were able to cause the players they sent the Long Bios to Lag. I guess to be able to kill them easier.
Bios have been reduced from 4000 Characters to ONLY 1000 Characters. It used to be even bigger then 4000 Characters. Its been cut before.
The Bio Area is so small now its hardly worth calling it a Bio. You really can't put much in it now with this fix.
A Lot of people used to take a lot of time and thought into what they put into those Bios.
Some of them were really good. You could tell a lot about some people by what they wrote. You could pass the time while mining reading them. Some were very funny.
It is a shame that a few exploiters can spoil it for everyone else. That the only fix that CCP can come up with is to take away the only form of individuality that can be shown by anyone who choses to show it in the form of there Bio.
I request that CCP brings back the Bios to at least 4000 characters, and banns the exploiters. At least find a different fix.
Put the following in your BIO if you agree with this statement:
These Lines of Text In Protest of 1000 Character Bios Because Low lifes Used Bios as an Exploit to cause Lag And this is the CCP Fix For that Exploit Instead of Banning the Exploiters. Taking Away BIO Space Again From 4000 to 1000 Characters.
Exploite Change: reduce BIO Size from 4000 to 1000 characters.

I'm not sure I can see why long bios would be exploitable.

This was the exact message I got when I thought there was a problem with my BIO because it basicly disapeared.
Hi,
Character biographies have been shortened from 4,000 characters to 1,000 characters. 1000 characters includes tags (which you cannot see) and spaces. This is fix an exploit where players would create lag for others when biography data was sent to other players.

Sounds dodgy to me...why not just ban the xploiters?

ya, don't mess with bio's...that's the one thing we use to tell who's who and what they are about.
