Have you ever seen someone warp scramble an ad can? Do they try to escape under the relentless bombardment of your xtra l337 ub4r tachs such that you would need to do such a thing?
Bleh ad cans are there to look at. The original exploiter^Wposter said he was trying to warp scramble the cans to get the window to display on n00bs' screens so they may attack and suffer the Grand Wrath of sentry guns or Concord. Ok, that's not exactly what he said, but I certainly would've read it that way had I come across him doing that.
Totally different things, methinks, not "more or less" the same.

The only thing he has exploited is other peoples stupidity. For those who are too trigger happy to asses the situation and realise he CANT warp scamble you without concord stepping well, you deserve what you get.

I have a question, if it pops up on your screen 'voogru [corpnamehere] has started trying to warp scamble you [corpnamehere] and voogru had jettisoned the cans himself, then the 2 who got all shouty about it would have seen voogru's corp name wouldnt they? (after the bit that says 'you' or 'your dog')
Or am I completely missing it here??
Admittedly though, when thats happening to me, i'm too panicky to read the whole thing (its cause i'm new).

As far as I understood it, voogru targeted and warp scrambled a can he dropped and named "you". This results in a message displayed on screen 'voogru started warp scrambling you' or something similar. The point is, that you have to TARGET someone/something to warp scramble him/her/it.
So if other players entered the area where he did his 'experiments' and saw this message, they might be tempted to shoot at him before he attacks BUT they should finally hesitate, when they realize, that they can't shoot before they have targeted him (which normally happens automatically, since everyone sets his preferences to 'auto target back').
I think that should have made it clear, that he obviously was playing around and not trying to get someone to attack him in range of station guns because to do that he would have to TARGET the person FIRST before beginning to scramble - which he didn't (as I read it out of this thread).
Just my 2 cents on it ;)
P.S.: Another name for the can might surely have avoided this whole discussion though ;)

well i dont know if this has come into disscussion, i didnt read it all, but do u remember that little lock signal that comes when he locks u, if it comes that hes warp jamming something and doesnŠt have a lock on u i highly doubt he has u war scrambled, also if hes at station i would just get my but in there and dock, especially if its a 0.4 or higher, dont wine over something so stupid as peeps warpscrambling cans

Meh anyone whos played NS (Natural selection) with Voogru would know hes all about playin around...try having 5 hives for the aliens and floating marines... :)

I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

he didn't mention he was naming his can after other pilots now, did he? talking about reading skills... it's only in the chat log, not in any of his posts, and probably only because he didn't see that himself... naming your can cat or dog, or whatever, is different than giving it a pilots name who's nearby... imho, his only intention was to see if he could trick anybody into shooting him.... and that makes him an arse, imho....

Well then I would try it out only I have some omega drivers for my mobility card and somehow I can't use opengl or direct3d with this driver in half-life. Sadly if I don't have this driver I can't play EVE

Who cares if he didn't mention it in his posts, if it's in the chatlog anyone who actually read it can see that he did name the can after you.(Which is actually pretty funny.) And did you ever think maybe he just made a mistake and had bad timing and isn't a perfect person like you?
Exploit or not, who cares if he tries to trick you. I don't see how it's an exploit if he's just trying to trick you and not actually doing anything to you but playing with your mind, which is your own responsibility to protect.
But whatever I believe you Voogru, who cares what other people think.
