Make 2 separate installs,
i.e.
C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE
C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE2
Thats what i use, simple but works

Turning off Sun Occlusion in the Graphics tab in the options menu (press esc) seems to work too.

Does 2 installs work better?
I use 1 install and run both accounts from that. Seems fine to me, although can start to lag after a while.

Just copy the original EVE folder to a new directory, turn off most if not all optional grafik thingies since it will give you less lag after time.
After some time you will have both EVE accounts using about 200-400 mb of ram so relog often

Running them both from the same install is no problem. The only reason I can think of for installing it over again, is to play one on TQ and one on Chaos.

I had problems running 2 different accounts from the same installation directory.
Now running 3 accounts from 3 different installation at the same time on one machine and it's working nice.
Very good job on the stability issue CCP.

There is one benefit to using two different installs; you can have different GFX etc settings for each account.
