Ok so its this, I jump from one system in the other. Ship disappears, cant click anything anymore just chat, disappear from local. But the next system never loads. Fking great. I just spend 30 minites thinking, purchasing items, to fit my ship to go on a roaming trip.
The last time I had it, was when jumping into jita on a sunday afternoon. Now the least thing where you would expect this is when jumping into a empty 0.0 system from another 0.0 system thats nearly empty.

One occasionally gets stuck between systems and has to relog.
One really isn't bothered by this.

It's a conspiracy. The Devs are following you, and making sure that you randomly jump into a system that shares a node with Jita.
I'm the alt of the main that the forums picked, and i can't be arsed to go through the "settings" page to change it back, k? |

Jita is well known for it's lag (especially on a sunday...).
As for jumping between 0.0 systems, I've had a relatively lag-free experience whenever I've played... although when the motd suggests there are server issues etc I will get the pause you mentioned.
While frustrating at the time, I haven't encountered it in more than a handful of times in recent weeks.
