Hey all, 3rd day playing . Just some questions.
What kind of money should i gather before attempting to setup a small POS What Skills do you need? I think someone should add this in to the POS guide. Are there skills required for the defenses you setup to your pos? like do i need hybird turret 5 to get a medium Hybird for a POS?
Thanks to the people that help |

Edited by: Zelitamn on 29/06/2007 05:42:31 To anchor the POS you need the Corporation Management skill Anchoring, you will also need to be in a player-owned corporation and not be in a NPC-controlled one.
To be able to control the turrets of your new POS you will need to have the Starbase Defense Management skill. (requires Anchoring 5)
Also, you will need a bit of money to purchase the modules for the POS, they are not self-contained stations. The control tower itself requires an investment, and then the Corporate Hangar Array, and the Ship Maintenance Array and whatever other uses you had in mind for it.
Do not forget to keep in mind the defenses of your new money pit.
Good luck :)

can pull a fairly good estimate of price by looking up the parts and pieces on the market.
remember, a POS is a hole in space you pour money into (sometimes)

First thing to note is that POSes are always corp-owned. There is no such thing as a personal POS. You only really need anchoring 3, pos modules are not affected by skills.
A basic small pos for mining or research will cost you a few hundred mill in modules, plus a varying amount of fuel per month (in the region of 50m for a small pos I think).
