I'm going to keep short and to the point in hopes that somebody can point me to a way to fix it as it is kindof annoying. Whenever I rat I typically run 2 accounts. One for the ratter and one for the hauler. I run 2 clients in windowed mode, one on each monitor of my dual monitor setup. However I almost always get a BSOD eventually although the timeframe does not seem to be set. It can be hours before I see it but I almost always see one BSOD on a long ratting session. I'm honestly not sure what's causing the problem though. Typically I get a PFN_LIST_CORRUPT BSOD which Microsoft states has something to do with either drivers or memory. The thing is I can't find any problems with either. I have run the full memtest86+ on loop for over 8 hours straight without so much as a single error. I have left various 3D demos on auto loop for hours to stress the 3D card (Half Life 2, UT2K4, and a couple others) with no errors or artifacts. I can't think of any soundcard stress tests but I haven't seen any problems with it. So if anybody has ideas they'd be appreciated. System setup is as follows:
P4 3.0Ghz HT (Northwood) 2GB PC-3200 RAM 120GB Seagate SATA HDD BFG GeForce 6800 OC SB Audigy 2 Windows XP Pro SP2
All drivers are up to date and Windows is as well.

Is sound enabled in both clients? I've never got more than one client to work with sound with any creative card, ever (except without creative drivers).
My X-Fi is still back in its box, replaced by my aging Terratec Aureon. At least it never BSODs with it.

I have been having the same problem running 2 accounts since the Rev II Patch. Pre-patch I could run 6 or 7 accounts but now I too randomly get BSOD error, usually in the middle of a level 4 mission. So far it's cost me a Raven. I'm running a new Dell duocore rig with dual Nvidia 7900's and dual monitors. If I run a single account I have no issues and I haven't had this thing blue screen on me any other time. It only with 2 or more accounts running.
I also made sure all my drivers were updated but it made no difference.

In my own experience, these errors usually relate to a hardware issue. Mostly due to a failing/underpowered power supply, or failing/insufficient ram.
I've also had issues with Sound Blaster from just about the time they came out :) Always incompatible with something else. Or using the same IRQ as something else back in the day when you actually had to set them.
The last error that was common for me was the latest video drivers. Sometimes they just aren't up to snuff and I would end up reverting back to a previous version to fix the issue. That mainly happened with EQ, but nonetheless it's something to look at.
Hope that helps. ~Zz |

Well 2GB of RAM should be sufficient. And the RAM I do have is pretty high quality RAM that is new and has been through several memory stress tests with no problems indicated. Power supply is brand new as well. PC Power & Cooling 425 watter so it should be plenty up to snuff. Are there alternatives to Creative drivers? I suppose even with the sound off they could be the source of problems. I'll check and see if there are newer drivers for the video card as well.

I had the same problem under XP. Plain and simple, it's your GeForce. And, unfortunately, there's nothing much you're going to be able to do about it.
One client will run fine, all day long. But two, eventually you'll be BSOD and rebooting.
Now, if you want to hear about my 3 months worth of problems with VISTA (solved thankfully) and 5 driver and two BIOS upgrades and not being able to play with a top-of-the-line game rig for months... Well, I'd run afoul of the profanity filter and you'd never get anywhere...
Let's just say, I have a deep burning anger toward NVIDIA and their incredibly bad (and still BETA) drivers for VISTA....
