i was wondering what could the age be of the oldest player in EVE.
the reason i am askin is becasue i recently was showing my old father (who is 60 years old) some parts of the game, and he was mighty impressed.
he is now serioulsy considering on starting to play!. i think it is rather cool, but at the same time im a bit worried, can he handle all the smack talk and disputes thats going on here sometimes? what do you think? would you let your
own old day play the game? :)

I'd bet there are pensioners in here already. If he's computer-savvy, no problem?
Bad language? Assuming you're UK, if your dad is 60 years old, he probably did National Service; if you're US, then he was probably in Korea or Vietnam. Either way, nothing the smack talkers can come up with on here is going to impress/offend him even remotely, by comparison. Nobody beats the army for foul language

Most fighting goes on the forums, i have been ingame playing the game not beeing in contact with anyone but old corp mates for weeks. None adressed me what so ever.
People do have a reason to curse or smacktalk, in most cases..

I have a birthday today. Won't give the age but it is over 30. I play with several gentleman who have several years on me.

The current owner of Tekforce's account is i think 59, hes the oldest ive seen play eve. Then ofcourse maturity is not always affected by age.

I am 54. the smacktalk, kewlspeak and general rudeness does annoy me but it can't really turn the ears red on a combat veteran ex-Marine :)

TBH I only know 3 people who are under 20.
I know a fair few over 40's and they number the biggest smack talkers in EvE
IMHO the younger people stay poor and in empire, the older ones get rich and take more risks.
