I'm curious what alliances and corps a new player would want to look at if they wanted to fight on either side of the conflict in 0.0? What alliances have what tax rates and what are well organized? Any other pertinent info a person might want to know about various alliances on either side, and which prefer veteran players and which recruit players who are new to the game?
In my case I'd like to help in the fight against BoB. Is there anywhere besides Merch Industrial to look at? Incidently if you accidently mix up Mercenary Corporation and Merch Industrial it frustrates some people
Thanks.

thanks. yeah I already tried as I mentioned in another thread, but I can't post there, apparently because I'm not already in a player owned corp and hence can't put it under my avatar. seems a bit odd to me but *shrug* I'd love for this topic to go there no doubt.

You should be able to post in the recruitment section without a corp. After all, that's kinda what it's for. You aren't supposed to post in the corp/alliance discussions forum though.

No you cant post in Corp and Aliance forum because it's about politics and flaming. You can post in the recruitment forum however. -----

yeah no I hear what you are all saying really I do but it just ain't so.
When I am not yet logged in the new topic etc show up for me but as soon as I login the options to add new topics and reply to existing ones disappears. To make this clearer the forum I tried to post in was "Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center" forum and I'm on a trial account in a non-player owned newbie corp.
From what someone else said in this forum I went and tried to change my account options to put my corp below my avatar. There was no option to this effect in the account related menus. Upon returning to look at their post I noticed they said if you were in a player owned corp you couldn't post to [all of] those forums.

May be because you're on a trail account? Don't know really.
Most corps don't take people on trials though...

Well within the next week that won't be an issue anymore but I'd still like to know as much as I can as soon as I can. Knowledge is power and all that. And being in the right place for what you want to do is too. Though really I'll admit I'm probably set where I'll try to go based on who I know and who I don't know, I'd still like to know in a more hypothetical sense I guess you could say. Even in corp forums information is pretty scattered from what I've seen.

I think the easiest way may be just to keep the recruitment chat window up and ask the people there some questions as they advertise recruitment for their corps. That's how I found mine.

I'd shamelessly recruit you but i dont think that's allowed XD
One other way, though it's a little more research, is to check the websites of the big Coalition alliances (Morsus Mihi/Razor Alliance in the north, Red Alliance/Goonswarm/Against All Authorities in the south) and then take a look at their standings pages. Chances are the people they are blue with are also anti-BoB. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Alekseyev Karrde Ambassador, Fleet Commander =The Royal Guard= www.rgrocks.com/"=TRG=Public" Chat Channel |
