i think what speaks volumes about this vid is that we've got to page 4 and DS hasnt complained about the format !!

Haha yes! It's very much a teach-myself-AE thing each time I do one of these. I'm pretty shocked at the stuff you can do in AE when you know where to click - Andrew is awesome. 
Regarding what PC I use asked earlier.. well it was hot a few months back but it's probably already average now. Core 2 Duo 6700 with an Nvidia 7950gx2, 2 gigs of ram and some nice fast barracuda fraps disks. I get huge amounts of lag in fleet, same as everyone else. I used motion blur and timewarp in AE to smooth it out though, it still looks pretty messy but it's not on screen for long enough for people to notice I hope.

Do you edit the movie first in premiere or the such or do you do everything in AE?

I generally lay out sequences in Premiere to properly sync things with the soundtrack, then dump the cut up fraps sequences into AE and render them, finally dumping them back into Premiere to do the final encoded render.

Omg, again and again you prove you are way better in editing then CCP. "EVE never fades" brought me back to this game, but atm I wouldn't come back because of CCPs movies but because of yours.
