It seems, since it has been mentioned that there is another radio station coming into the community there have been some waves made and some problems have ensued.
It seems, that eve-radio.com seems to be a bit worried about another radio station coming about within the community because one of the things they decided to do today was Flame Eve Underground Radio on Air, in their forums as well as in their chats both on IRC and In game. Honestly, that is all fine and what have you because, as the music said upon Eve Underground Radio, we donÆt care.
Though I will fully admit that I tuned in Eve-radio while I was on air to hear what was being said about myself in particular. Being the country that I am from, we have the right to know what is publicly said about us. And I decided to broadcast this because it was a public broadcast, so I let my public hear it. Why not? I also decided to talk over it and yeah, I said nasty things about that current DJ. Then I played a couple of songs that showed my ôloveö to this DJ and then went on about my show.
After such it seems that someone decided to start pinging into our server like mad, making things a bit unbearable, which I have since fixed and done some things with.
If Eve-Radio.com feels threaten by our presence before we are officially global, let them feel threaten. If they wish to comment and flame what we have been doing here then let them that is all the more free advertising for us. If they wish to keep this air of unprofessional tactics against us, we will not care nor will we listen, but we understand that they have insecurity in their market knowing that there is someone else springing up in the community to have a bit of fun.
As I have said many times on air, and I will say here, we right now are in experimental stages of going global. Yesterday (19/1/04) during the dev chat was a test to see what the serve could do as well as what size streams our DJs could handle. We may have premiered yesterday but that was just to get our name out there. We catered to our listeners like we always have done (when we were just privately DJing and practicing with the software.) and we had fun. As we finalize the stages here bare with us with the technical problems that we are working out.
If you think our stream is up, come on by and take a listen in. If you have IRC meet up with us on the coldfront server #EUR, leave a request, give us feed back, or just chat about whatÆs going on in eve.

Thats pretty damn low of eve-radio.com, to publically flame another radion station.
Why?
They're just providing a service like you are, why do you feel so threatened?
And for someone to attack the eve underground server too, well, not that it can be linked to eve-radio, but whoever done it thats friggin lame.
And personally I prefer eve underground from what Ive heard so far, keep up the good work Xes.

Thank you for teh Words Trooble Means alot.
Before there is another Misconception... i don't think the attack was from EVe-radio people... or their listeners. I just happened about the same time of the flaming. It was also to explain why we went down... :)
thank you for the support.

Dont worry, nobody at Eve-Radio is threatened, and although we had a little fun at your new stations expense It wasn't intended to be malicious - just a little fun. We expect you've been doing the same since you first started broadcasting. However leaking to us that the current stream was going to be simulcast on your own station during MY show (of all things) was like pouring petrol onto an open fire.
If you're going to do it again, your better off doing it on a show not designed to be controversial.
Good luck with EUR!

Dont see Radio1 flaming Virgin radio for playing at the same time.

You misunderstand - the comment was regarding EUR relaying an Eve-Radio stream to their own audience not that both were playing at the same time.

In that case, whats wrong with that, cant understand why EUR would relay your radio station through their cast, unless it was when you was flaming the EUR station, and they was just showing their own listeners what was being said about them?
But none the less, flaming a fellow radio station was low, although knowing your broadcasts Mr. Blades thats the norm (takin the p1ss outa ya everadio listeners 'n all ).
Dont see why the 2 stations couldnt work together, allowing for joint games and such. Like EUR listeners vs Eve radio listeners in frig contests.

I hate rock music altogether so i dont care which station dominates.. it gives me headaches and i cant concentrate. I seem to be more successful in battle when i listen to classical.. its just me though.

Welcome EUR :)
here in the states - radio DJ's slam and make fun of eachother all the time - all about ratings - I expect some of that will happen between the 2 stations - as we slam and make fun of other DJ's on our own station
should be interesting to see how this plays out (/me smells a war decleration)

**Bump**
All competition is good competition .....
I know that EUR have announced to people that their intention is to dominate EVE as 'THE' radio station....
If that is their goal then great ... i'm completely up for a 'breakdance' competition.
The eve-radio listeners army <insert manowar:warriors of the world unite here> will rise and squash such an uprising from an inferior competitor.
The 'worry' that EUR smell from eve-radio, is just me im afraid , some dirty chip fat, digestive biscuits and some marigold gloves ...
I can only really say:
'move along people , nothing to see or listen to here'

Since its all out now, i might aswell just say, that we seek news reporters from outside of FA. As we will be trying to cower most of the regions. and too all the DJ`S from both stations. keep up the good work. ________________________________ Radio for YOU

*chuckle* The things that Blades said last night about EUR were /nothing/ compared to the things he said about his own listeners and the other eve-radio DJs
In fact, what he said was /nothing/ compared to what half the listeners were saying about him in the ingame and IRC channels.
Competition is a good thing, epsecially as it gives me another option when Doughboy comes on air

You are correct of course. The vast majority of airtime is spent insulting the muppets that listen to my own show so I dont have an awful lot of time to spare on rival stations. End of the day, everyone that presents on Eve Radio does it because they enjoy entertaining their listeners. Each DJ does his or her own thing in order to achieve this objective - although being a ratings ***** myself I tend to push the boat out and abuse my loyal fan base rather than pander to their every whim. This works for me and the majority of my listeners know and understand this. If part of this effort involves being mean to other people to get a larf, so much the better.

my,my,
this is a really childish response. I listen many hours to eve-radio and I was listening to dj blades show and all he was doing was joking about the new radio station. He wasn't flaming it. Maybe you could quote these terrible things that were said cause all I heared were humurous comments wich make the blades show so funny.
This is really a bit exagurated xeserox.
Still good there is competition though, Can't wait to hear more about EUR

Competition is always a good thing, at least for the listeners since it forces both radio stations to improve themselves. And I don't think anyone should take the insults too seriously.
