Haven't been playing much lately (try for the last 6 months :) ), just been logging in to train skills.
So i got a really nice set of skills for my interceptor. I have a crow that is fitted pretty well.
However, it seems that it's 100% pure suck for missions. I almost died in a lvl 2 mission yesterday because i was unable to use my microwarpdrive!
So basically, the problem is missions where you have to use acceleration gates (which is a very big percentage), they are basically undoable, and doing lvl 2 missions in an interceptor isn't very profitable anyway.
So.. Is there a trick to it or am i going to have to find other ways to make money?

use a better interceptor (faster/higher DPS) and fit an AB to it... the crow is crappy, its only advantage is its good locking range and 3 mids in pvp...

Don't forget the missile range and lack of tracking... You could do missions in any inty really, some though not really.
Pretty much wanna setup for max dps, maybe rockets instead of lights.
Oh wait, just noticed the level 2...
Level 2's aren't reeeally possible with an inty, unless you're lucky/careful. AF will do them better than an inty for obvious reasons.
But I'd say stick with 1s for an inty, no tank and poor dps. You can even do level 1s in an industrial if you set it right.
Cruiser/AF is "optimal" for level 2's, not an inty.

You tend to get webbed quite often in missions, which is a big problem for intys. An AF however, can do up to level 3.

Nah, you can do missions in an inty. They, like indies, won't do very well except for level 1s more than often.
Level 3s do have some missions that are possible in the right AF, but some it'll insta die.
Also I used to do 2s in an AF.

Well tanked AF can hold upwards of 200 DPS on 2 resists. I doubt you're going to find many L3s that can kill you anytime soon. The only danger is if you are heavily webbed and even then the low sig radius means you will generally be avoiding a ton of damage.
AFs have a dps problem but definitely not a tank one in PvE.

I guess the other option would be to stop tooling 'round with frigates all together and use a battleship.

I did a Lvl 2 in my covetor for the craic once, lost a few drones but it held together nicely. :)
Took ages to get the loot mind you.
To the OP, go for ships that don't rely on speed or have the ability to engage at varying ranges (destroyer or AF are fine on Lvl 2's). Drones are your friend as well as doing it in a covetor proved. :)

I've done every L3 in a wolf, and I wouldn't just go for the goal, I'd kill everyone and everything (including escort battleships, etc), so no there are no L3 missions where an AF will "insta die."
as for inties running L2s, the crow is easily the worst inty to try to run missions with cause even though it has "missile range and lack of tracking" it does the crappiest damage among the inties... honestly, the max damage 3 rocket launchers can do with rage thorns is about 125 DPS... other inties will easily hit 200 DPS... try an AC claw, or blasterranis, or even a pulsader
the crow's advantage in pvp is its lock range and 3 mids, its lack of tracking is a minor benefit, as is its missile range, as neither will help it kill other inties, while inty guns will still track and hit other inties
