Just wondering if anyone is making some kind of program that uses the wallet export to work out how much of orders have been sold and how many are still in stock, ect?
Id do it myself but I have no idea how, and also I would buy this kind of program with ISK as well.

I am currently working on one, yes. Anyone with knowledge of PHP interested in getting involved should let me know. It'll be open source so you could host it yourself, although hosting could be arranged.

Hello, I saw this and I'm doing the same thing but I'm trying to make it in a way where people will trust it enough to use it.
But the why I came here isn't the tool, but its webhosting, I'm running a small Webhost for isk site, its going very well, I have about a dozen or so clients.

Check it out if your looking for hosting. I also might contact you maybe we can work together or something for this wallet tool.

Yeah, the major problem with any tool will be trust. Which is why I'm making mine open source.

I'm pretty much just working on automatic updates for the random assortment of PHP tools that I've made for my own use. If you've got a good project going and want some more eyes or hands for it, let me know.

I just wish that there were open source solutions. I'm not much of a programmer at all. However like many I want to utilize the new export features without selling the farm away. (I've got major trust issues with the community if you didn't know)
So... it's a waiting game for me as all the various programmers toil away, with my gratitude mind you, building solutions that may eventually become public domain.

I have made one in Excel and it works well if you are just buying and selling stuff. If you are producing stuff it's a lot more complicated, and I haven't implemented this as of yet.
For buying and selling, I have just set up a query that filters my orders by buy or sell, picks out the quantity and adds or subtracts that number form the corresponding item in my stock list.
At present my stock list is fairly fixed, so I have manually entered it in, but I could easily automate this if I ever have more free time.
For manufacturing, I would have to manually enter in new stock, and manually remove minerals, unless I spend a while creating a blueprint library or something.
Right now my excel sheet is far from finished so I don't want to release it just yet. It would be open source if I ever do release it though. It's just a bunch of macros anyway! |

I've also made an excel sheet that uses the csv transaction data.
It extracts items that you actually trade (by looking at the amount of buy and sell transactions) and gives you some info on each of those items:
total isk volume total profit amount bought/sold average price estimated value of remaining stock %age return
It's not so much useful as interesting. If anyone wants a copy, let me know.

I'm working on one that uses a SQL database to store the wallet/market transactions as well as updating stored inventory based on the transactions and giving a profit estimate for manufacturing and trade but I haven't been able to put in much time for it.
So far it only loads the wallet/market transactions from the csv file and can output the manufacturing and trade estimates for manually inputted items.
No estimates as to when I can release v1.0 but it will be open source.

I am making on focussed on trading... it's fully automated except the order export is manually (there isn't an API yet).
Mainly it's for me and the alliance... but maybe in the future I will make it open source. ----------------- Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It's not a thing to be waited for - it is a thing to be achieved. |
