Since the release of the expansion, my UI has been messed up and I am trying to get it back to the way it was previously.
What I am trying to do is keep the location of my "items" hanger near the lower right corner of the screen in station. The problem is when I am in space and open a wreck, I like that window to open just to the right of my cargo which is located above the chat window. When I open a wreck now, it appears where I have my items window in the lower right corner. If I move it to where I want it, it eventually sticks, but now my items hanger will appear in the new position and not where I want it.
Any idea how I can get these darn windows to stick where I want them and not have them linked like they appear to be now?

I've always had this problem. No matter what I do. And it's irritated me for over 3 years.
Maybe there's some advice others can give, but for me it's not a new problem.
I used to get It.
Then It changed.
Now I don't even know what It is.

Here is what I have done to fix this:
1) While in station, open both items and ships window
2) Drag the items tab off to create a new window for it
3) now when you are in space your wrecks/cans will open into the same place where the ships window was.
4) You can seperate the ships window by opening a cargo container while in station and returning to step 2. Basicly every new container/wreck/hanger/etc that you open will reuse that first window by default. Once you drag one window off into its own, it will keep its location and size seperately from the default.

Yeah, I've always done this, but it seems to reset a lot, and sometimes new items still open in the wrong places. For instance, cans in the space seem to be perma-linked to my item and ship hangars, so there's no way to separate them.
I used to get It.
Then It changed.
Now I don't even know what It is.
